So it's the wife's birthday. She never been to Venice. Got to take her somewhere special. You want special? San Clemente gives you special. The hotel has to be one of the plushest in Venice (which is saying something). What's more, it's in a vast plush palace on it's own island. An island not only with this very special hotel...

What a wonderful hotel the San Clemente Palace Kempinski hotel is, it is Luxury all the way. The service was excellent and the rooms were fantastic - try and book a room with a view of the lagoon. We were upgraded to a s very large room with beautiful high ceilings, a sitting room, a separate dressing room and bath...

It is great to be away from the hubbub of the Grand Canal in Venice. The boat service from San Clemete to San Marco is often enough to accommodate all needs. The hotel is an old monastery and still has a beautiful chapel on the property. It is very idyllic to sit at the many locations around the property and...

Excellent and unassuming restoration of this old monastery with beautiful gardens. It is the only building on the island. Once on the island you literally forget that you are less than 3 miles from the bustling noise of Venice. You may of course visit downtown Venice with a 5 min boat ride offered by the hotel or you may spend...

We have stayed at other 5 star hotels and San Clemente Palace beats them all. The entire staff bend over backwards to serve their guests at all times, under all circumstances. We had an incident (unrelated to the hotel) with our luggage prior to our arrival. Within minutes of speaking to the concierge, the problem was under control. Our first...

What a wonderful hotel!!!! The service, rooms , food and island was perfect! Venice is a wonderful getaway, but when you see the crowds, you'll be ecstatic to "getaway" to this wonderful little island of SAN Clemente that ONLY houses the St Regis!!! Complimentary water taxis take you to SAN Marco Island. Fabulous!!!!!

Venice is beautiful city, but the hustle and traffic can wear you down very quickly. This hotel is perfectly situated close yet far enough to enjoy a peaceful sanctuary. Staff is wonderful and the privacy tours they offer directly from the hotel are truly worth it. The oven brick pizza by poolside is outstanding as well. Our family, with kids...

Fabulous hotel in a super location. Just returned from a wonderful 6 night stay. After a busy day sightseeing it's great to escape the hustle and bustle of Venice and head back home to the tranquility and luxury of the San Clemente. The hotel's boat service is a treat in itself and takes around 15 minutes to St Marks. Forget...

You will have to wait for them to re-open after the seasonal shut down but when you can please go. From the moment you climb onto the San Clemente Palace boat join them you know you have arrived.
