We arrived on 28-12-2011 and left on 01-01-2012, we had a small room on the second floor which should have been with garden view, all we could see when opening the window was the building in front of us.
The mattress was way to hard...More
Don't miss this hidden secret! A beautifully restored 16th Century palazzo, antique Murano chandeliers, personalized rooms (one ecological), breakfast in bed and nice price. Just a few min from the bus terminal I found a this beautifull treasure where I immediately felt completely at home....More

Ca' della Corte, located in the wonderful Dorsodoro area of Venice is a small hotel, an old palazzo, with very nice rooms and a wonderful staff. The hotel is quite reasonable for expensive Venice and the shops and restaurants nearby are terrific. It's a quiet...More
I strongly recommend this wonderful B & B hidden in a charming corner of Venice. Catherina and Margaret provided wonderful hospitality and delightful conversation. Most important: when my wife and I needed some emergency help, they provided discrete and scrupulous backup down to the smallest...More
Santa Croce gained importance as a sestiere (district) when Piazzale Roma was created in the 1930s to bring cars and buses close to the center of Venice. Constitution Bridge spans the Grand Canal linking Piazzale Roma to the train station. This area buzzes with energy from travelers and students. Historic palaces and former industrial buildings house some departments of Ca' Foscari and IUAV Architecture
universities. On the Fondaco dei Turchi, Venice's Museum of Natural History offers Venetians prehistoric thrills, plus an overview of lagoon fish and wildlife. The Grand Canal, northern boundary of Santa Croce, is lined with palaces and decorated by the tall green dome of San Simeon Piccolo. Ca' Pesaro attracts Venetians to its contemporary art exhibitions. The Grand Canal exposes only one face of these buildings. On the opposite side, the palace often interacts with a square or a busy street to represent its neighbourhood identity.

I wish I could be more help. Ca' della Corte is a short walk from the Ferrovia vaporetto stop (the train station), also Piazzale Roma, where buses bring you from the airport. But just how to get there is a bit complicated. The map on the B&B site was a big help to us. My husband suggested that you go to Google Maps. We stumbled around a bit but really had no difficulty. What I can tell you is that everyone was wonderfully helpful; a nice gentleman saw us looking at our map and led us right to the door of Ca' della Corte. I think you'll love the B&B. We did. If you get the chance, please tell Caterina, Errica, Valentina and Elisabeta "ciao" from Hampton and Leslie (we stayed there in May for 6 lovely nights).
