We really enjoyed the location of this hotel. It is literally steps from St Mark’s Square. The breakfast buffet was good, rooms were clean and spacious, and the wine bar was great! Check-in and check-out were very smooth. The only downside was that we were...More
The location was great. We had a room I overlooking the canal and it was a pretty perfect view. The room it's self was dirty, including green scum in the toilet. The house keeping simply gave fresh towels and made the bed. Didn't empty trash,...More

Clean and comfortable hotel, very close to San Marco and ease of access to all the Venice sites, and eateries.

We arrived at the hotel by boat direct to the thier landing stage, an experiance in itself.

While the hotel has a great location near St. Mark's Square, I was under the impression that my room at All'Angelo Hotel would have air conditioning. It did not. There is only air conditioning in the lobby. I spent several hot and humid sleepless nights...More
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and
Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.

Water transfers vary depending on what you choose. We took a private water taxi from the airport direct to the hotel landing jetty ( 4 of us shared the 100 Euro fare) Quick & convenient & tickets available at airport help desk. A water bus is much cheaper but also takes a lot longer & you need to walk to hotel - could be tricky to find that late at night.
