The Hotel Antiche Figure is inside a beautiful XV-century building overlooking the Grand Canal, very close to the main entrances of the city, Piazzale Roma (Bus Station, parking, and transfers to/from Marco Polo and Treviso airports), Central Trains Station (S. Lucia), Venice Shore. It's the ideal starting point to experience the atmosphere between 'calli' and 'campielli' (narrow streets and little squares).

Hotel in a strategic position: in front of the S. Lucia train station (you just have to cross the canal from the Scalzi bridge) and about 20 minutes walk from St. Mark's Square. We stayed for one night (Saturday) in the residence suite, booking directly from the hotel website (339.77 €), expressly requesting to book the suite on the first floor (511), as both the first floor and the last floor are represented together on the site. The suite, which is located a few dozen meters from the hotel, in a building located on the calle del Traghetto de Santa Lucia, consists of a living room at the entrance (with a kitchenette, a coffee table, a television, a wardrobe, a safe and a minibar), the bedroom (with a very comfortable mattress and a television) and a bathroom (with a window and with a hydromassage shower). The suite overlooks an inner courtyard, has good WiFi internet, easy heating control and has walls with beautiful fabric upholstery. The breakfast, both sweet and savory, is hearty and of good quality, where you can find different types of cakes, croissants, biscuits (including the typical zaletti). The price also included a visit to a Murano glassworks (transport included with water taxi). Everything was perfect, the room was nice and clean, the staff very nice and helpful. The only aspect that can be improved, the television in the bedroom, where a smart TV with connection to the various streaming platforms would be preferable.

This hotel is very antique and cozy. I am very particular with where I stay, and it didn’t disappoint! The staff was very communicative before arrival, and once I got there, I felt the hospitality. The room was clean, towels were clean, and I am not sure what they put in the robe, but it still has a clean fresh smell after day 4. Breakfast is a generous spread. Housekeeping is excellent! All the staff were great, but Alexia, and Francesca, I communicated with a lot. These ladies are so informative and friendly. The hotel is worth the stay as it is directly across the street from the train station and water transportation! This hotel is a 10/10 in it’s own rights for cleanliness and hospitality🙌🏾 ciao…

Our family loved our stay at Hotel Antiche Figure. Its location on the Grand Canal offered us picturesque views and we thoroughly enjoyed having breakfast at the outside tables. We also used these tables in the afternoon for a drink. When we arrived after our long flight from the US, the hotel staff was very welcoming. We were offered water during the check-in process. The front desk clerks/managers made restaurant reservations for our first night’s dinner, arranged for an earlier light breakfast on our last day so we could make our train departure, and reserved porters to help with our luggage going to the train station. Rooms were very nice, had ample space and were updated. The only negative was a few of the five rooms we reserved had a step going into the bathroom. I would definitely stay there again when in Venice.

I consider the hotel to be impeccable. Structure, service and cleanliness, in addition to effective communication. The suite with a unique view of Venice. The hotel is very well located, just a few meters from the train station where we arrived and offers a speedboat service to the airport at an additional cost, which we were very happy about. At 4 am he was ready to wait for us.

What a wonderful hotel, not the cheapest in Venice but worth every penny. Situated by the Grand Canal and close to rail and road links you are looked after by a lovely team who all want you to have the best stay in Venice. The welcome was warm and genuine. Our room had a four poster bed that was big and roomy, the toiletries were high quality and the tea station was regularly supplied with a range of teas and coffee. There were little touches like sweets on the bed, complimentary slippers and a well stocked fridge all adding to the experience. An included trip to a glass works on Murano was included in our stay, there was also the offer of arranging a host of other experiences to enhance our stay. The included breakfast would suit any taste, a wide range of baked goods, fruits, cereals, cheese and cold meats were beautifully displayed and kept stocked up by the helpful staff. We loved our time at Hotel Antiche Figure and would love to return again one day.

We arrived at the hotel by boat (of course) from the airport and upon entering we were greeted by Francesca and Laura, who were very friendly, spoke English and explained everything to us regarding our free breakfast and complimentary beverages (that were part of our booking) in the bar area. There was also a dining area off of the elevators where the breakfast buffet was served. The servers were very attentive and that area as well as the other areas of the hotel that we visited, including our room, was exceptionally clean and bright. Our room overlooked the canal and was big, bright and airy. There were vaulted ceilings and a marble tiled bathroom with a tub, shower, toilet, bidet, two sinks and a large mirror. In the entryway there was a lot of storage and a small safe. Inside the bedroom area was a sleep sofa, king sized bed, a desk that also offered a selection of coffee and tea as well as a TV and slippers were provided. I would definitely recommend this hotel which is also directly across the canal from the Italo train station which is accessed by a small foot bridge a few yards away. Please note that the bridge is a little steep and made up entirely of stairs on either side and is not handicap accessible. I’m not sure if the hotel is either. There are shops and restaurants in walking distance and a water taxi station in front of the train station, with the water taxis running on a schedule, on several different lines and you must buy a ticket. The hotel will offer a complimentary boat ride to the island of Murano, which is where Murano glass is made but you are on your own to get back. There is a demonstration of how the glass objects are made by one of the Masters and then you can buy items if you wish, either from their gallery (which can be expensive) or in their gift shop. I spent some money in their gallery and was given a complimentary boat ride to the island of Burano where they make lace but had to find our own way back. They have a lady who sits in the lace shop doing embroidery and I’m not sure if they actually make the lace there but they did have a variety of beautiful items for sale. Burano had a bad odor emanating from their murky canals but did have a variety of shops and restaurants as well as some very colorful buildings.

Nice clean friendly hotel in a great location. Breakfast was quite basic which is fine by us - rolls, ham, cheese, fruit etc. Good coffee. Really friendly staff. Even gave us a room upgrade, which we really appreciated. The room was well appointed, bed comfy and everything worked, plus not too noisy which can sometimes be a problem with central locations. You can get a shuttle bus directly from the airport Marco Polo to Piazzale Roma which is 10 minutes walk away. Takes about 20 mins and cost about €10.

Overall wonderful place to stay. The rooms are neatly set up, the finishes are elegant and show a type of Venetian elegant luxury. I did have one complaint or two but nothing that ruined the stay.
Breakfast is at 7:30 and a few times I was up before then. Apparently there are rules about serving guests before breakfast, but not the delivery people who show up with an excess of pies, cookies, and cakes very early in the morning. I was told I could be served a cappuccino just the one time, while a few delivery guys were standing around having theirs, but that was an exception. Next time I would have to wait until 7:30 am when all the guests are allowed breakfast. This did not rub me the right way, as I was a paying guest and believe I should be entitled to slightly better treatment. Perhaps the next time I wanted a morning pick me up, I could have snuck in from the outside with a hand truck and an empty box of cake? Hotel guests really, really do love their cakes...

Hotel Antiche Figure was the perfect place to stay in Venice. We stayed three nights, slept wonderfully each night without any noise or disturbance and each morning enjoyed the breakfast which had everything we could want, and good coffee! The location is perfect as avoids walking through Venice with baggage yet all major sites are easily reached by foot. All the staff at the hotel were incredibly warm and welcoming, this would be my first choice of hotel to stay if I return to Venice.
