Never stayed as they cancelled our reserved booking from 10 months ago, this has never happened before to us, I guess we always were lucky to book with decent establishments. We booked 2 nights in June 2017 through an agent in June 2016, email from owner this week asking me to cancel booking ? I did not cancel the booking...

This was a perfect place for us to stay! It was the right price, very clean, great breakfast, Roberto was so helpful and kind. The rooms were nice and spacious. It is right by a water bus stop so easy to travel to. There is also a very good restaurant right around the corner!

we stayed with Roberto for two nights and it was perfect. We felt very warmly welcome, the room was nice and clean and we had everything we needed. The breakfast provided something for every need. We found everything we needed, wonderfully uncomplicated, easy and helpful. I hope the place will stay like that! :) Not one of those loveless cold...

We arrived late evening, quite tired after a long bus journey. Roberto came to meet us at the water bus stop...I knew straight away that our stay here was going to be very enjoyable. The B&B building was excatly as I wanted: old & very Venetian! All around was darkness and still; what is very striking there are no traffic...

A warm welcome in a clean and spacious environment. Great kitchen facilities which were available all the time. Roberto was very helpful, he even booked a restaurant for us prior to our arrival. Located on the south east corner of Venice, giving easy access to the sights but far enough away from the hustle and bustle to give peace and...

Very much enjoyed our stay. Clean and comfortable room that had Venetian charm. Was very grateful to stay in a reasonably priced hotel that allowed us to walk or take the vaporetto any place we wanted to go. Roberto is a friendly and nice host. We will visit again!

We started our trip to Italy at a piano party in Milan. Our hosts for the party live in the area so we relied on them to help us make our plans. Our trip included 3-1/2 days in Venice and we knew we wanted to stay somewhere away from the tourist areas. Our friends told us about a B&B they...

Ciao Frank and Kathleen! You are an artist.. who could communicate better then you? Your words are like a smile to a friend showing him how beautyful is the life and the world, your words take the hand and make a friendship without asking anything, like the music of your piano, a gift to the others! To me, the best part of staying at B&B Venezia is being away from the crowds in Venice. Whether on the always-crowded vaporetto, in St. Mark's Square, or on one of the islands, returning to the San Elena Vaporetto stop, and walking through the beautiful park on the lagoon was the best part of the day. (And that Vaporetto stop...

Spent a delightful 3 days at this B&B. Roberto is an excellent host. The location is away from the crowds but the vaporetto dock is nearby so you have easy access to all of Venice. We bought a 3 day boat pass at a store around the corner. The house was clean and well kept. We had the largest room...

Staying in Castello

Neighbourhood Profile
Castello
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighbourhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Bed and Breakfast Venezia is located in the most verdant discrict of Venice, an island of unspoiled serenity on the eastern shore of the city's fabled lagoon. Its most delight feature, however, may be the dreamlike vision of ancient Venice shimmering across the lagoon, especially as the sun sets behind the tower of San Marco and the great dome of Santa Maria della Salute. ... more   less
