Really good location for this price, just a few minutes from Rialto Bridge and fish market. Rooms are simple, but tidy and host Antonio is very helpful. Breakfast services on second floor, coffee from coffee machine

The hostel has a very good location right in the center of Venice. We took the waterbus to the rialto bridge and it was a 5 minutes walk from there. The owner was very friendly and the room was ok but not updated.

Needs update. More attention to overall cleanliness.shabby but not chic.overwhelming bad smell from bathroom.even for Venice .think that location and price and quiet help to ease the pain but i think it should be sorted !!!!!

We booked well in advanced and when we arrived we were told that they were overbooked and we were place in a room that was a closet. There was no where to put our bags and no power points. This is a regular scam by this hotel. The same thing happened to another couple that arrived after we had been...

We actually got re-routed here as our other Venice hotel cancelled on us the day before. They sent us here and while the hotel didn't really have room for us, they put us in one of their extra rooms. It was about the size of a closet but was very clean and worked out just fine. The staff was so...

This was a great cost effective place to stay in Venice. The host was so nice and there was complimentary breakfast from 8:30-10am, which included pastries, coffee, juice, water, cereal, and an assortment of wrapped baked goods. We had a room with our own bathroom with A/C, which was definitely a great plus since it was really hot and humid...

This place was almost impossible to find. I guess like anything else in Venice but once you find it it is easy to find again. This is a no frills place to stay. Clean, comfortable. Limited breakfast just some croissants, cereal and yogurt probably the least amount of food I've experienced in Europe some fruit would have been nice. All...

The rooms are cozy and clean. The breakfast is also good bread, coffe and cereal. And the location is centric to visit the main attractions. We stayed for two nights. Its a little tricky to find it because it is in a small street. But if you follow directions you'll find it.

Staying in San Polo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighbourhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
