We've just returned from a short stay in Venice and the Ca'Angeli was FABULOUS! Our room was lovely and the staff is WONDERFUL~ very pleasant, attentive, and helpful. The location is convenient~~ it's a 2-minute walk to great shops and excellent restaurants. (Just an fyi~ when arriving in Venice, you'll likely need to take a water taxi (approx. 50 euros...

Two weeks have passed since our stay at Ca'Angeli. The memories still linger and I wish I were sitting in the library window watching the city come alive. We chose to stay at Ca' Angeli based on reviews from TripAdvisor and the Ca' Angeli Website. We were overwhelmed at how perfect it was. The view from our windows was quaint...

We spent two days at Ca' Angeli and they were the most delightful of our trip. Giorgio, Ambra and Matteo were most helpful and patient. Our room was awesome. The view was fantastic and the service is first rate. On the day of our 25th Anniversary, the staff treated us with champagne - something we did not expect. When we...

Just returned from a 2 week stay in Italy. The first 3 days and nights at the Ca' Angeli. We arrived from the airport early in the morning. We were very pleasantly welcomed, our bags were stored, as our room was not ready, and we were given a delightful breakfast....fresh croissants, wonderful cappucino, fresh fruit and more. When we returned...

We were very impressed by everything at Ca' Angeli. We can echo all the positive reviews. An idea for those who are proficient in driving a boat - we hired a small motor boat from "Brussa is Boat". It is a great way to see Venice and the other islands from a different perspective!

There were 4 couples that stayed here after our cruise and every one of us were delighted with this small (8 rooms) hotel. The rooms are spotless and ample size especially for Venice. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and there when you need them but always in the background. Even when we had to catch a 4:30 water taxi...

My wife and I stayed at Ca' Angeli from May 8th to 17th, with two days (May 12-13) out for a visit to nearby Verona. It was almost like being with family, with Giorgio, Matteo, and Ambra enthusiastically looking after our every need, including detailed information about practical matters as well as on Venice's history. Like me, Giorgio is a...

My husband and I stayed at Ca' Angeli with our daughter in March 2005 and had a wonderful stay. I returned to Venice recently with my mother and wanted to return to Ca' Angeli since our first stay had been so pleasant. Again, the room was immaculate and the service was outstanding. The staff is very helpful with restaurant suggestions...

We stayed at the Ca'Angeli from May 2 thru May 7, and absolutely loved the entire visit. Everything we had been promised or "confirmed" before our stay was delivered. Let me start with finding this lovely property. When we arrived in Venice finally, we had missed several trains along the way from La Spezia, due to late arrivals. We took...

Staying in San Polo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighbourhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
