Just returned from a wonderful three day stay at this wonderful little hotel. In a very quiet part of Venice. Only a ten minutes from the bus station. Situated in the university area. you get to see the parts of Venice most tourists rarely see . Our room 105 was on the second floor wonderfully decorated with hand painted furniture....

We stayed here for 4 nights in February 2014. A lovely little hotel in a quiet location with friendly staff and the nicest rooms we've stayed in when we've been to Italy! Warm and cosy with lots of room & a nice bathroom! Good breakfast spread and they make the morning coffee to your liking too! 24 hour reception and...

Best thing about this hotel is its staff, very cordial, helpful and informative. Otherwise hotel is far off from city centre. Old building, without lift, so if you heavy bags and your room is on second floor, then you had it. It is 15min from main train station but for that you should know the way otherwise it can take...

Thanks for the review and for the good words for our staff. Venice is a little city but have a lot of little street where you can get lost. Thats why we send an e-mail with the information to reach us and a map of the zone. Unfortunately we don't have the e-mail of the customers who book through agency,...

This hotel is absolutely the one to stay at. Immaculate, friendly and close to train station and water bus stations. Nearest super market 10 min walk and really silent surroundings. If your arriving by water boat or using imaps to locate the hotel type in via riello as this is the avenue it's on, you can't miss it the av...

Very quiet, clean and venice style. The young clerk who works there could just as easy be the manager or owner. They understand (know) their business. Away from the tourist path, there is not much close but its hard to stay better in Venice. They also helped find two of the best veneziani restaurants in venice (no 7 in >250)...

This Hotel is off he beaten track, not far from the bus station. However, it is not too far from the main attractions of Venice. If you have a good map you will find this Hotel without difficulty as we did. The Hotel is immaculate, and in a quiet area of Venice. The rooms etc. spotlessly clean. The staff welcoming,...

This is a perfect little hotel, very neat, quiet, affordable and friendly. I've stayed there 4 times over the last 6 years and it had never crossed my mind to look for a different hotel next time around.

I've stayed at this hotel with my wife for a short weekend break. We were pleased with the hotel and the service. Location The hotel is 30 minutes walk from the Piazza di San Marco but you can take a water public transport which takes you directly to the Piazza in 10-15 minutes. The closest stop is S. Basilio, 5...

We stayed at the Tiziano for three nights in February. Could not fault the hotel. Excellent service, friendly staff, our room was lush without being over the top - very comfortable. Breakfast was simple but plentiful and tasty. The walk from the bus station was a bit difficult as the hotel is tucked away but it only took us 20...

Thanks for the good review. We're happy to hear that you enjoyed the time spent here. Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighbourhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighbourhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighbourhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbours exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
