This hotel is a little gem. Perfect spot out of the hustle and bustle but everything within easy walking distance. Water taxi for transfer to airport is 6 minute easy walk to the water stop at the back of the hotel. Rooms are fantastic… exceptionally clean and comfortable. Plenty of water and tea & coffee. Beds were really comfortable. Breakfast is continental but a great amount of choice. Lovely bar where you can sit outside and watch the world go by. The staff were fantastic. Really helpful and lots of great advice. Very friendly and certainly made our visit a great one. I would definitely return

A charming hotel in a quieter part of Venice. Very comfortable and clean rooms, decent and tasty breakfast spread, exceptionally polite, friendly and lovely staff. They also have a sister hotel, Hotel A'La Commedia, more centralised, with a rooftop bar where, if you mention you are staying in this hotel, you will receive 10% of your bill. Would definitely return here, just for the staff!

What a great hotel! So easy to get to from the airport. A couple of minutes walk from Madonna Dell' Orto. On arrival we were early for check in and the friendly staff could not have been more helpful. They stored our cases and gave lots of informative advice about Venice and the local area. The hotel was on a lovely quiet canal but only a few streets away from bars, shops and great places to eat. The area of Canneregio was perfect for us. We stayed in a classic room which was just perfect. So quiet, lovely decor, clean, great shower and the comfiest bed I have ever encountered in a hotel. Breakfast again was great, friendly welcome by staff and plenty of choice from bacon, eggs, sausages to pastries, fruit and cereal. We took advantage of the free water taxi to Murano offered by the hotel and made a day of it by taking the water bus onto Burano and Lido. The hotel is also a short walk to the train station and as we stayed for 5 days we took the train to Verona and Lake Garda. All areas of Venice were walkable or easy to get to by vaporetto, but loved returning to the hotel. A great base for a fantastic visit to Venice. Would highly recommend.

Excellent hotel! We were recommended this hotel by a couple who went for their honeymoon 16 years ago. It was great then, it is great now. The rooms are huge compared to euro standard. The AC works great. The breakfast is outstanding. Very lovely for families. Take the free ride to murano, of course it’s for sales but there is zero pressure. We ended up buying a few things but it was 💯 authentic murano guaranteed. It is a quiet residential area, not close to the sites but easy to navigate the water taxi. Get the daily or multi day pass worth it.

Quiet location, a great hotel nestled in a less touristy neighborhood. The rooms are really well finished. The bed is very comfortable. Everything is really clean. The front desk people are friendly. This hotel has a lot going for it. Good showers are a huge plus for me. The water pressure was amazing and a big tub. Tall people friendly!

We had a wonderful stay here. The place has a charm and a lovely Venetian character too. We were made very welcome by the staff who were all extremely friendly. The room was beautiful, very peaceful and quiet. The breakfast was great with a good selection of sweet and savoury items. Contrary to some other reviews, coffee was excellent. There are two types of coffee available, American and Italian. Go for the Italian, it’s great. Can’t recommend this place highly enough.

Wonderful stay, beautiful, clean hotel, staff exceptionally helpful. We were here on a 4 night trip - taking in Venice, a trip to Padova, and Murano Island. The hotel is within walking distance of everything you need, but the beauty of it is the location, which is along a pretty peaceful canal, a few streets away from restaurants and shops. It felt chilled and relaxed - and made for a really relaxing stay, when so much of the rest of Venice is busy.

What a beautiful little gem this place is. We have just returned from 2 nights away at this hotel and was blown away by its elegance. The hotel itself is immaculate, the staff are so friendly and cannot do enough for you. Breakfast was worth the €15 extra each, with a lovely spread that would fill you up before a day of exploring. The decor in our room was just stunning. The bed was super comfy and the complimentary bottles of water each day was a lovely little touch. We took full advantage of the complimentary trip by private water taxi to Murano island to the glass factory. Well worth the trip! We found the location perfect. It’s 5 minute walk from Madonna dell orto which you can get the water taxi straight from the airport to and takes about 20 minutes for €27 round trip. The hotel is set in a quiet residential area, but is only 7 minute walk from the busier streets, 15-20 minutes from Rialto Bridge and 30 minutes from San Marco. Or if you don’t like walking too much, you can jump on the ACTV water taxi from Madonna for next to nothing to any location. This is a stunning hotel in just the right location! It’s a must!

What a lucky choice. As we were checking in guests were saying to us how great it was! Very quiet rooms, excellent decoration and quality. Slept better than I do at home. Location was perfect for us, got the water bus from airport to Madonna del’orto ( first stop) and five minute walk to hotel. All staff were excellent and very helpful, useful run down of where to go if needed and how to get there. Breakfast was a great start to the day, 25 minute walk to St Marks Square but so much to see it will take you longer😆. I think the time we chose to go was also great, never really queued for anything and able to take lots of pictures etc. Top tip, buy a day pass for Vaporreto water buses one day €25pp, go to Murano, Burano ( route 12)and back to St Marks square, we then got another around the grand canal ( circular trip on route 2) get off at Casino for 10 min walk back to hotel, great day great location.
