Given the high prices of hotels in Venice at the start of the Biennale, this was a real find. All I needed was a good bed. The room was kept very clean, and was quiet and comfortable. The bed was comfortable and I slept very well. Sharing a bathroom - again, well kept, although a little cramped - with one...

Quiet small place with only 5 rooms. Two share a bathroom in the hall. Worked fine for me and my friend. Staff very friendly and helpful; met us at night so we wouldn't get list finding the place. Everything was ok.

B&B is managed/owned by two individuals. The man was bizarrely abrasive & impatient; the woman was pleasant and very helpful. The place is good enough--but I would only recommend staying if you can find a great price (no more than $50 USD).

Was a bit afraid of going because of the bad reviews that we had read but when we got there all our worries went away. We were even picked up from the closest water bus stop and guided to the hotel. It is a lovely old Venetian house, and we even got a free upgrade to the room with the...

This was the first time that we stayed at a B&B since 1991. We were pleasantly surprised. We were greeted with a map and directions that explained what quarter we were in. That was very helpful. The room we stayed in was Elena (with bathroom) and it was clean. We are super-clean people (a little OCD), so the only suggestions...

Quiet and well located Apartment. Breakfast was perfect (fresh bread and Italian croissants). Helpful owner couple, which also gives useful tips. We were picked up at the Vapporetto station and they gave a hand with the luggage.

We booked our room for one night as we flew in before our Cruise was to leave. Excellent room close to everything, water taxis, The Rialto, shops and restaurants. Breakfast was fantastic, we we're running late but he still served us breakfast and he stopped to chat and his wife joined us and was telling us about Venice and the...

Residenza degli Angeli is a very good cheap option for Venice where the hotel rates are sky-high. The room was very nice sized and was clean. The host were very helpful with everything. Breakfast was on the lighter side with no eggs or meat. We had quite a bit of difficulty locating this place once we got off the boat....

We enjoyed our stay very much at Residenzia del Angeli . The owners were excellent in communication from when I made the reservation until check out .the included breakfast was perfect for jump starting our days. Staying in San Polo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighbourhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our Bed & Breakfast finds itself in the center of Venice, 5 minutes walking from the famous Rialto bridge, and 15 minutes walking from Piazza San Marco. We are close to the main fish market place where there is a public transport gondola service which enables everyone to cross the Grand Canal for 2 euros per person. Our home is located in one of the oldest areas of Venice, where most houses are from the 13th century. Indeed Venetians used to leave originally in Torcello island, and then decided from the 8th century to move from the island of Torcello, more exposed to the Barbars invasions, to settle in the current Rialto area. Esmeralda and Mario, the owners who personally attend all guests during check-in, check-out and breakfast time, will answer all your questions and help you take most advantage of your stay in Venice. ... more   less
