Firstly, if you were as unlucky as I was and found that the city's vaporettos were on strike, DO NOT attempt to wheel and carry your luggage by walking to this hotel from Santa Lucia station. If you could fork out a small fortune, hire...More
We had a reservation for 4nites at this horror sewer hotel. We were excited to stay as the explanation of location and price were reasonable and of course it included the "breakfast". We arrived to Venice at the train station, took the vaporetto and made...More

The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighbourhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San
Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.

Congratulations on the honeymoon! Couldn't pick a nicer place than Venice. I don't remember our room number, but as already answered, Maurizio or his staff would be able to help you. They are wonderful hosts and I'm sure will take very good care of you. Our room didn't overlook the canal, but it was still extremely enjoyable. Be sure and take a gondola ride - and happy honeymoon!
