My wife booked this and at first i thought it was too remote but it was great. The apartments are converted warehouses and large modern but with ample character. The staff are friendly and helpful. Best of all Guidecca is fantastic just a short free shuttle ride to St Marks but quiet and more authenticity venetian. The local restaurants are...

This is in a quiet, beautiful location. A quick water bus ride to any location you want to check out. The view is spectacular. The apartments are very clean and the decor is tastefully done. Breakfast foods were included as well as coffee. A choice we were very glad we made.

I had read all the reviews, but was still a little nervous about not being in the heart of the city. After all the tourists and busyness, it was a relief to return to Guidecca at the end of the day. The apartment was so nice, and the bed very comfortable. It was cleaned every day, and the breakfast items...

This is a fantastic place to stay. Right next door to the Hilton Hotel but you can use their free shuttle boat to take you over to St Mark's Square. We stayed in the ground floor corner unit (Burchio) - we loved it! We had the main shipping canal right in front of us - fantastic to watch the big...

On our 3-week Italian holiday this place was our favorite. We really felt like we were living here, not just staying in some hotel. We were in the Gondola Apartment which has gorgeous views of the lagoon. It has a full kitchen, living/dining room, nice bath & and a bedroom with a comfy king bed. There is an elevator, too,...

As soon as we arrived, Luca Bellini greeted us warmly. Another couple that had just stayed there and were checking out told us we made an excellent choice. Due to the fact that we were there for our honeymoon Luca gave us a bottle of Proseco. Luca was extremely genuine, humble and professional. He spoke perfect English and really made...

Beautiful accommodations, awesome view, warm caring service by Eleanor and Esther. Nice to be away from the crowd on Giudecca yet only a few minutes away by the provided Hilton water taxi.A couple of really nice restaurants to enjoy within walking distance.

Immaculately presented apartment - we were on the ground floor in Burchio. Breakfast food was provided daily and the choice was perfect for us; bread, ham, cheese, jams, yogurts, cereals and most importantly coffee! Great base on Giudecca, away from the madness but close enough to pop over the water on the free shuttle. Fantastic!

Stayed here for a long weekend. Super location away from the crowds but with restaurants close by. Convenient shuttle bus from Hilton next door - hotel skyline bar definitely worth a visit day and night for the views! Would thoroughly recommend and would stay here again. Thanks Luca and the team for a excellent trip.

Staying in Giudecca

Neighbourhood Profile
Giudecca is a retreat for Venetians away from the crowds. Symbolically, six metal teeth represent Venice’s six sestieri (districts); the seventh, Guidecca, points away from the others – part of Dorsoduro, but separated by the Giudecca Canal. Giudecca evolved from a center of shipyards and factories to a quiet residential area with a sprinkling of restaurants and bars. The majestic harmonious Redentore church stands as thanks for delivering Venice from the plague, hosting an annual heartfelt festival.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our luxury apartments decorated in a 17th century Venetian Style with all the modern comforts are located on the top floors of the right wing of the Molino Stucky, a late 19th century art nouveau grain mill on the Giudecca Island in Venice. Six of our apartments overlook Venice. Each of them with a unique view of the Serenissima. Their size varies from 45 to 90 square meters with high wooden ceilings, big queen size beds, spacious living rooms and bathrooms in Verona marble. We are only 10 minutes by boat from Saint Marks Square and 5 minutes from the Grand Canal. After a long and complex restoration finished in 2003, the Molino Stucky is one of the finest and most comfortable buildings in the city. We assure you that our luxury apartments and the peaceful Island of the Giudecca are the way of enjoying a relaxing holiday in Venice. This Island, just across from Saint Marks Square, has always been one of the favorite summer places of the noble Venetian families who built beautiful villas surrounded by lovely gardens and orchards, as well as churches, monasteries and convents. Some are still standing and others like the monastery of San Biagio became the Molino Stucky. ... more   less
