400 year old guest house. No breakfast but food available almost all hours just down stairs. No lift as the house is 400 years old but clean functional an comfortable. The bathroom was shared but no issue there. for the price it was a great deal. very laid back city.

It was a really good place and clean to stay. Venice is a city to spend your time out so Ai Tre Ponti is a very good place for your sleeping time . You have a little problem with shared bathroom and toilet . It's good for friends or backpack couples.

I booked this place to visit Venice with my mother. In the pictures seemed very nice but when we arrive the place was a total nightmare! Mamma Mia!!! The room was everything exceot what The booking.com pictures showed me. The door of the room( see picture) took about 20 min to closed! The stuff was really unfriendly, I paid $130...

The room was a box, literally a box. You get out the bed and the door is a step and a half away. It's overpriced for how tiny and uncomfortable it is. You're better off spending a little more to be more comfortable.

The accommodation is very close to the Plaza Roma car park which makes parking and carrying luggage to the accommodation so much easier. The accommodation managers are very efficient and helpful. The rooms are neat and clean and the shared kitchen has everything needed. The bathroom is very small and congested, but includes everything needed. This is one of the...

Hotel has taken my money at the stage of booking, although the payment should have been done only when arriving at the hotel. Then they took money second time and still have not returned it to me! They do not even answer my letters! Do not use this hotel!

While it is relatively affordable and within walking distance to the train station, the hotel is tiny and the staff were not friendly. They are misleading, with them not informing us of a surcharge for checking in late (even though I enquired about any extra charges when telling them on the phone about our late arrival). The rooms were advertised...

I am a solo female traveller. Ive stayed in places with a shared bathroom before so this didnt bother me. However, when I was shown my room and it dawned on me that I was sharing an apartment with other people, I wasnt impressed. My room, was one of two that were off a living area and bathroom. The people...

Was looking forward to our one night stay in Venice and it was completely ruined by the stay at this B&B. Was put in a room facing a back alley on ground floor, mosquito net was broken on the window. The room was cramped and dirty and depressing the advert on booking.com is completely misleading. The room was described as...

This place was very disappointing, I had requested a double or queen for my husband and I, plus a single and our adult daughter for 2 nights. We found we had a tiny upstairs room (it was overlooking the canal though) with 2 single beds pushed together and a fold way bed for my daughter. There was only enough room...

Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighbourhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighbourhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighbourhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbours exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
