Ca' Sagredo Hotel is Venice new luxury boutique hotel on the Grand Canal. A 15th jewel in a magical city, where the building's history intertwines with that of the Famiglia Sagredo one of the most important in The Republic, whose destiny was bounded to the Doges and the city itself. The hotel offers 42 guestrooms, most with magnificent panoramic view over the Gran Canal, a trendy restaurant with outdoor terrace over the water and banqueting/meeting facilities.

At Ca' Sagredo, guests reside like the Doges once did. A beautiful palazzo with breathtaking columns and views. We immediately felt at home.
The room also surprised us positively. We had booked the cheap category and were prepared for a very small room. The room was very spacious (queen-size bed, two chairs with a table, desk, walk-in wardrobe, very large bathroom) and very tastefully and beautifully furnished. You could even see the Canal Grade (side view) from the window. We hadn't expected that.
An absolute recommendation.
We just didn't quite understand that in the hotel bar a simple Aperol Spritz (16 euros) costs almost the same as the cocktails such as Sidecar and White Lady, which are wonderfully mixed with very high-quality ingredients.

I had already discovered the place a few years ago and rather enjoyed it. I realize that the place is getting older and that the hotel should plan a very big refreshment of the rooms at least mine. Upgrade to junior suite, unfortunately for me the top floor suite with the ceiling you hit every 5 minutes is not a good choice. The concept of the hotel is obviously to value the common areas but frankly, it seems wise to also think about the guests who pay to stay in the rooms. Walls, carpets, carpets for urgent change. Fingerprints on the walls, stains and holes on the carpet... This gives a not clear set, and quite unpleasant. The shower tray that clogs and overflows the water of the tray, flooding the bathroom, not Top. Not even a bottle of water or a coffee machine or kettle to make tea. We are still in a luxury 5 star... The DPJ offers the bare minimum and if you want more, you will have to pay, quite petty considering the room rates. For me not a third time in this establishment.

Paid a prepaid capital one travel rate for this hotel and on checking out the hotel insisted my payment (which has posted a month ago on my CC) was just a security deposit and would not let me check out without paying the rate again. I was basically held hostage until I paid a second time. Shady hotel. Beware.

What a fabulous hotel. Set on the grand canal everything was perfect! Staff were very helpful and attentive, the room was perfectly and tastefully decorated and the bathroom huge! We could walk anywhere from the hotel and the gondola station was at our front door Nothing was overly expensive in Venice, it was much the same as UK

We spent two nights here for a family celebration, as we were looking for a special place to mark the occasion. On arrival we were upgraded to a junior suite, which was a lovely room, with period furnishings, the most comfortable of beds and many nice touches. Nice bathroom. The main feature of the hotel is it's historic splendour, with richly decorated rooms and a grand staircase. On days with bad weather breakfast is served in a giant frescoed ballroom; on fine days on a lovely terrace overlooking the Grand Canal. Some modern features work less well, with the internet constantly lacking oomph. The hotel does feel a little staid. The breakfast staff were very jolly, but there is a bit of an absence of fun. Making greater use of the bar area would help as would opening the roof terrace more often. The location is perfect with the Rialto and St Marks only 10-15 minutes walk away. Many good dining options close by. To finish your visit, enjoy the water taxi direct to the airport. The cost is 120 euros, quite competitive for a family of 4 when compared to the pricey public transport, and it only takes 20 minutes.

Just returned from a wonderful 4 night stay at Ca S’agredo hotel. Perfect position in Venice right on grand Canal by Traghetto stop to Rialto market. Room impressive and v large ( junior suite) views out of a window to Grand Canal. Quiet, comfy bed, powerful shower and no problems with temp or water pressure. Extremely clean and housekeeping superb. It would have been perfect if there was a hospitality tray and some water. Getting a cup of tea for two delivered to room 16 Euros.
Breakfast good - a buffet but good variety fruits, yoghurt, cereals, cold meats, cheese and pastries. Hot buffet also available eggs and sausage. They made a very good basket of gluten free breads and biscuits available.
We ate there one night - v quiet restaurant. We had hoped that for a 5 star hotel opposite the fish market there would have been an array of fresh fish. Food adequate but limited choice and same menu each night - we would not chose to eat there again. It seemed as if v safe food and not that of a 5 star hotel. Many excellent restaurants and bars close by.
All the staff very helpful and perfect English… Public rooms simply amazing and must make time to view.
Water taxis work directly to hotel. We would be very pleased to return but would take a kettle!

Phenomenal Venetian palace utilised as a hotel with a choice of rooms.
We stayed in a junior Segrado suite, the room itself was decorated in traditional Venetian attire, and was well presented, comfortable bed and good cleanliness. Undoubtedly the highlight of the room though was the rooftop terrace accessed through stairs within the room, and provided views of the Grand Canal, and Venice by roof, absolutely wonderful. Only improvement for the room could be tea and coffee facilities, however you could always get hot water and cups from the restaurant/bar staff
The hotel itself exudes Venetian character and wonderfully stately but yet unpretentious ambience. There are many communal rooms with fantastic decorative pieces aligning the ceilings and walls.
The breakfast was good, and the waiters were all very helpful.
The staff were of an exceptionally high calibre, very welcoming, no request too much, a special mention to Michael the night porter/front desk gentlemen who helped provide concierge services to us, recommended and booked some of our dinners for us as well as made recommendations on where to go during the day, a real shining star of the Ca’Sagredo team.
Positioned on the grand Canal and almost centrally in Venice it is well situated for exploring the landmarks, side streets and reaching the public transport for exploring over islands.
Overall a 5* rated experience, we would definitely stay again.

Yes it's a bit dark and stuffy and the carpets have maybe seen better days, but I can't think of many places where you breakfast in a room with a painted renaissance era ceiling fit for the Doge. We honestly fell in love with the grandeur this place and the feeling that it represented everything quiescently Venetian for us.
On the subject of breakfasts, a good few people here have left negative reviews. Sure they don't provide a full on cooked English breakfast but there were eggs, sausages, bacon and hash browns available. Combine that with fresh croissants, rolls, cold meats, cheeses, sweet pastries and cereal and I don't think you should be disappointed, especially when you consider the typical Italian breakfast is an espresso and a bit of dry bread.
We had a "courtyard" room which was very comfortable and overflowing with drapes and expensive fabrics. Very comfy king sized bed. We had a small fridge but after reading other reviews brought our own travel kettle and some mugs for tea and coffee as "the makings" were not provided. There is a great supermarket just down the road for tea, coffee, milk and wine.
The Wifi was usable where we were.
If you want to use the restaurants, book in advance as it's very small. We didn't get to eat here despite it being half empty but there are loads of restaurants (of varying quality!) within 5 mins walk so not really a problem.
Top tip - the Roof top terrace was closed up when we were there but you can access it via a fire door in a cupboard on the 4th floor after a bit of exploring. We spent our evenings drinking supermarket wine out of plastic mugs up there in splendid isolation whilst watching life float by on the Grand Cannel below. It was was quite honestly magical. I'm not sure if it's encouraged but the door wasn't locked :)
It's pricy and a bit quirky but I would 100% recommend this hotel.

I contacted the hotel and they arranged pickup at the airport for me. Go onto their website and you will see your options. We were picked up by car and taken to water taxi station and had private water taxi straight to hotel’s dock. If I recall correctly, slightly cheaper than full water taxi. Prices for choices were posted on their website. Have a great trip.
You can’t take a car to the island where Ca Sagredo is located. I would call the hotel and see what they recommend. Otherwise, I think I saw a parking garage by the cruise terminal and then take water taxi to hotel.
There are more places to choose from in the Venice area.
