Location was great - just a short walk to the main square and Arena. Staff was super-friendly and spoke perfect English. Off-site parking was a pain though. Room was clean, had a/c and its own bathroom (no shower but bathtub had a handheld shower). Nothing fancy, no frills, but I would definitely stay here again.

I found the listing for this hotel in one of the Rick Steves books. The hotel was rated only as one star. However, its location and promised reserved parking peaked my interest. I extensively communicated with the hotel via fax and e-mail. Their responses were always prompt. We were asked to prepay our one-night stay in advance. We were also...

Just to confirm the trend of just about all reviews posted for Hotel Torcolo - the location is great and the service is unparralled. They will chase up any query you have and are so helpful, it makes you wonder why more places can't do it

Hotel Torcolo was excellent value at 85 euro / night. The staff was very friendly and had great recommendations for pastries, a walking tour and dinner. We were on our honeymoon and definitely got special treatment. Room and bathroom were both a good size and comfortable. Excellent location right at the Arena and Piazza Bra and an easy walk anywhere...

The hotel is perfectly located right beside the Arena. The hotel doesn't have huge facilities but the welcome and attitude of the staff was fantastic. They offered us information on the whole town and really made us feel welcome. The room was big enough for what we wanted and again the location is fab. Highly recommend it.

I can't really add much to the other reviews, but if you read them all carefully you will have a good idea of what to expect. The location is great and this is why we chose to stay at the Torcolo, it's right beside the arena and we were able to walk everywhere easily and from there we could feel...

I was the organiser of a trip for a group of 25, and following recommendations on this site and in the British Press, contacted the hotel and subsequently booked. Despite the comments on this site, I was still amazed and delighted with the location. We walked from the train station, which was painless and a nice way of acclimatising to...

The hotel is in the perfect position, being just a minutes walk to the arena, but on a quiet side street. Our room was a decent size, but being up in the eaves was a little dark. The bathroom was also pretty good, and everything was clean and tidy. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, highlighting the main...

Fabulous service and great breakfasts. The ladies who run the place are experts at giving car routes around and out of the city. Parking a real bonus, but book your space because there are only two. Only problem is you have to walk at least 50 yards to hear the Opera over the Arena wall. Well you can't have everything.
