The hotel is newer and in excellent shape plus it’s meticulously clean. The staff, especially Cosimo and Marinella are very knowledgeable and helpful. They are multilingual which helps immensely if you are a tourist and don’t know Italian. There is a great spa downstairs where Mery gives an absolutely fantastic massage. My only critique is that even as a guest you have to pay 40 euro just to use the sauna and steam room area. That being said, I would highly recommend this hotel.

Perfect location between the city centre and the sea side. We had a very warm welcome by Marzia. We enjoyed the room comfort, the bed is super cozy. The restaurant offers local dishes with a modern touch and the breakfast in the morning is simply delicious.
Andrea at the bar makes unique cocktail!!
Inshallah we will be back soon in Taranto and we will definitely stay again in Salina Hotel.. but next time in the suite 😉

I had a wonderful 4 night experience, all the staff are super friendly. Drinks at the pool and bar were perfect and the staff always warmly greet you with a smile. I am planning another trip to Italy in summer and will definitely consider returning to Salina again!

We stayed for 3 nights in this beautiful hotel and it was one to remember. Good food, hospitable people and more importantly a complete package of product and service.
Staff members always welcoming us with wide smile.

We will definitely return again next year and this time we will stay for much longer.
Till next time 👋

We decided to go on a getaway weekend to Salina Hotel in Taranto. My husband and I were looking for a place to rest & relax and certainly we founded there!
The treatment of all the staff, reception, concierge, assistants was exquisite. At all times we were very comfortable. By the way, meals are exceptional!!
We will come back VERY soon!

A fabulous new hotel, not only pleasing to the eye with its contemporary lines and decor but so so comfortable in its amenities and inviting atmosphere. The rooms are perfectly appointed and very clean. During my last visit, I lived at the hotel for 3 weeks and found it to be a comfortable haven. Luciano, Matteo, Andrea, Marzia and Claudia at the front desk are professionals taking care of all my needs from check-in to dinner reservations to service appointments (outside of the hotel due to my poor Italian language skills). Giusy made the best coffee at the coffee bar (available all day) and cocktails at the rooftop bar. Breakfast buffet has a very good selection of foods (scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, hard boiled eggs, salami/cheese/prosciutto, breads, cereal, yogurt, fruit, croissants, variety of sweets, juice and coffees). The restaurant in-house is also excellent. Chef Andrea made delicious meals offered on the menu, but was also willing to take requests and make dishes off menu to our taste…and his desserts popped in your mouth…perfect ending to his dinners. The breakfast, lunch and dinner food service staff was attentive, professional and very personable. Francesca recommended the best foods, Mike, Vincenzo, Frederica and Alessia gave us top notch service. Housekeeping was always hard at work, diligent to make sure the rooms were clean as well as all the public spaces. The hotel has a wonderful space on the roof to hang out. There’s an Infiniti pool and bar. Dinner is also served on the roof (if the weather permits). The view is quite lovely during the days and very romantic in the evenings. The hotel will be opening a spa in November. It looks to be fantastic. I’m looking forward to its services on my next visit. If I had any questions, Giorgia (the manager) always made herself available. Overall, the staff was always willing to go above and beyond. The fact that the owner and his family were on scene most days and accessible to us is another sign as to how well this hotel is managed (thank you Angelo for your hospitality). If you can upgrade to a suite, I highly recommend it. Having a jacuzzi in the room was heavenly. And a final point you may find important - plenty of secured free parking on-site. Thank you Salina Hotel. I recommend it to everyone.

Don’t get me wrong the rooms are nice but the place has bars in front of its windows. We also were asked not to open the windows due to the airconditioning.

In our room the mini fridge was happily buzzing but didn’t cool anything.
The shower was amazing and the bed was good. Also If you can’t find the TV check the mirror 😜
On top of the hotel is the pool with bar and a restaurant. We were there 2 days and both days there was a party of none guests with a dj. We were “allowed” to sit there as paying guests how nice of them right.

Last day we left early so we got breakfast at 7:35 as it only starts at 7 am and they managed to have cold sunny side up eggs, cold bacon and cold sausages which is surprising as it was the only thing that needed to be warm in the otherwise splendid selection of foods ( yes the pancakes are cold too) with loads of fruit great honey and cakes.

All this stuff isn’t more of a missed opportunity then anything else for an otherwise great hotel. Just don’t get run over trying to leave with your car at the front gate :-)

Response from Customer Service, Servizi per gli ospiti/front office at Salina Hotel
Responded Jun 19, 2023
Dear Bartbaus, Thanks for the review and for the positive opinion expressed. However, let us clarify some of your perplexities which otherwise may give the idea of a series of design errors in the construction of our hotel. Our structure was opened two years ago and we have tried to follow all the best standards that make it environmentally friendly and with a low environmental impact (for example: recovery of rainwater and its use for all toilets, photovoltaic panels, home automation, led, etc.). Regarding those bars on the facades, they are simple sunscreens, which we understand you may not like, but which help to reduce the heating of the structure and to ensure that the least possible amount of energy is used for its cooling during the hot periods. In the same way, the air conditioning and heating system has also been designed in such a way that the opening of the windows causes the blocking of the functioning of the air conditioning for the simple fact that, being the window open, it would make it useless and therefore a waste of power. You can find these precautions (some of which are also made mandatory by European construction standards) in all the latest generation hotels. We are sorry that the minibar fridge was not working, you could have reported it and we would have changed the room or guaranteed room service at no extra cost. Our hotel, like many others, in addition to the rooms, offers various services that are also open to the outside, so there are also customers who only use the restaurant rather than the spa, rather than the conference room or the bar. They too are for us customers who deserve all the attention; their presence does not deprive the guests of the rooms of any service. For example, the evening with the DJ set for aperitifs on the roof garden is a service that we offer free of charge to everyone, and hotel guests can enjoy free music while ordering their drinks at the bar; however, we understand that musical tastes are different and the music on offer may not be to your liking. We are also sorry that you found the salty part of breakfast cold (eggs, sausage, etc.) As you remarked, we try to make breakfast one of the strengths of our offer. You could have reported this to our staff and there would have been no problem in cooking your food again. Regarding the traffic at the exit of the hotel, you will have noticed that we have created an acceleration lane inside our property to allow our guests a safe exit and make them join the traffic without any risk. We hope we have clarified some of your doubts, we thank you for the positive evaluation you gave us and we hope to have you again among our guests. Best Regards

The best Hotel in Taranto (Italy)

It has an amazing management and a very professional women driven leadership who would take care of all your needs and wants throughout your stay....

Especially the rooftop pool and bar is a very special attraction of this property...

I went on my honeymoon to this place with my wife and I have to tell you... The grand welcome I received upon arrival and the customer friendly environment we had was absolutely mesmerizing....

If you are in Taranto Italy and looking for a Hotel ..... Please don't have a second thought... Hotel Salina is your place to be ....

Managed by the Argento family the place does true justice to what we call the European or Italian hospitality...

Hotel with high quality standards. Ample parking inside the recently built and very well maintained structure. Staff always very courteous and professional. Well-kept and comfortable common spaces. Beautiful, comfortable and functional room, as well as the bathroom, comfortable bed, very quiet, efficient wifi for easy work. Impeccable cleanliness. Excellent and plentiful breakfast, as well as dinner, always very good at a fair price. You need a car and the location doesn't offer much in the surrounding area, but you feel comfortable in the hotel and there's no need to look elsewhere. I stayed for 4 days for work and it will be my point of reference for future stays in Taranto. Congratulations to all the staff, if they manage to maintain competitive prices.
