Francesco and Melissa were great hosts in this stunning house. They gave us loads of information on where to go during the days and where to eat in the evenings (excellent restaurant every time). The breakfast was nice and beautifully prepared, like everything else they did (attention to detail was perfect). The room was unbelievable for the price, a huge bedroom, a bathroom bigger than my living room and a massive outside area on the roof with an outdoor shower, which we loved.

I have travelled across Italy from north to south over one month by bicycle, sleeping at more than 20 B&Bs and this one is definitely the best accommodation I have come across. Unfortunately I was only able to stay for one night, but will definitely return.
Here are the arguments that speak in its favour :
- the welcome: I have been given a warm welcome by the hosts who also offered possibilities for dinner and a discount at the nearby restaurant "il pineta" which offers a wide range of fish and meat dishes, as well as pizzas. Try the linguine con crema di pistacchio e vongole and you won't be disappointed
- the cleanliness: the towels and bed linen are of good quality, well-prepared and smell like a bunch of flowers. In addition everything is well-kept and tidy
- the spacious and comfortable room: the design and equipment of the room, such as A/C and TV, blinds, work very well. The room is large enough and is nicely fitted. The bathroom is beautiful and has everything that is needed for a comfortable stay
- the balcony : if the terrace below is too sheltered and you want to take in some sun rays or just enjoy the twilight you have a private balcony with 2 seats and a table just outside your room
- the breakfast : Prepared with love and generosity, it consists of fresh fruits, strong and authentic italian coffee, toasts, homemade jams, honey, nutella, juices, 3 - 4 homemade cakes, etc. And, by the way, the cakes are delicious...
- the location : although the B&B is outside of town, it actually provides an ideal base camp, for discovering the nearby cities of Gallipoli, Lecce, Taranto, Matera, Alberobello or go to the Caribbean-like beaches of Pulsano and Dune di Campomarino
- last but not least the garden: it is a heaven of peace, provides some shadow, shelters against wind gusts from the sea and embellishes the structure with a nice scent of flowers depending on the season. Sometimes you can also pick fruits such as gelsi rossi directly from the trees.

Also priceless, is the advice that the hosts can provide you with on the surroundings, the places to visit, the best route, etc.

I only wish further B&Bs were managed with such great care and generosity.

Note: I do not hold any interests in the above-mentioned structure and am not affiliated in any way to the business owners or relatives.

If you look for a spacius clean and green-surronded place where to sleep in Taranto or have few days off then you have to go to il giardino delle jacaranda. This hidden villa just few km before the sea area offers an ever green garden where to rest and a pool where to refresh during hot days.
The owners is the lovely couple taking care of the place and decorating with plants and souvenirs coming from every part of the world. They were available in accomodating our requests and giving home-feeling to our international relatives during their stay in occasion of our wedding.

We have returned from a fabulous 3 night stay at the Il Giardino delle Jacaranda. We found the B&B a very friendly, extremely clean, quiet place, with a lovely pool and sunbathing area, amazing big balcony and gardens. Francesco and Marisa really know how to look after their guests and make them feel welcome and special during their stay. Lovely couple! Francesco is very knowledgeable of the area and surroundings and as we did not speak any Italian he made sure we were looked after. Breakfast was also a pleasure to have every morning. We also visited the beautiful beach, Onda Blu Lido (9 miles away) really and truly well worth a visit. Big thanks to Francesco again. However we did find that the Talsano area was hard to get around without a car and the centre of Taranto was some distance.

I've stayed in B&Bs before, but never like this one. you go out, you snorkel, you take a trip on a boat and play with the dolphins, see the ancient sites or whatever floats your boat and then you come back to pure luxury! Cool, clean and delightful to relax in after a hard day's playing. The beaches are ten minutes away and they come in different forms, soft sand, rocky lagoons, sand dunes etc and the water is crystal clear. The town is also ten minutes away and full of interesting sights/history/shops/restaurants etc and Marisa and Franco are most helpful re sending you to the best places, helping you book, especially useful if you don't speak Italian.

There's free, secure parking and free WiFi. I'll be going back, that is for sure. I give Il Giardino delle Jacaranda ten out of ten, no problems!

Suite Nimfea.
I was here last year, couldn't think of a better place to return to! This time we stayed in a different Suite, Nimfea. Wow! This was pure luxury! Antique furnishings, with a bathroom reminiscent of the Romans, relaxing in the bath. "I only need some grapes to complete the illusion" I joked to Marisa, my hostess. Two minutes later, a tap at the door announced the arrival of the grapes!!! The terrace is really spacious with furniture for reclining in the sun, sitting have a chat or catching up with the email (WiFi is excellent here). After a long day's snorkeling, there is nothing to beat coming back to these lovely, surroundings and my friendly and helpful hosts, Marisa and Franco! I can only say that they have created an environment which is both comfortable, luxurious, spotlessly clean and yet friendly. The beaches, which is really my thing, are glorious with sparkling, clear, water, perfect for underwater photography, my passion! I am hooked, I will be back again next year!

This beautiful bed & breakfast is located in a quiet side road in Talsano close to lovely private and public beaches. We stayed here for a week as it's an excellent location to tour the Salento area and nearby towns are all within 40 minutes. Our hosts made us feel so welcome in their home and nothing was too much trouble. Each morning at breakfast (which was delightful) the owner would provide us with recommendations and restaurants to try on our daily travels. Our room was nicely furnished with our own balcony, it was kept spotlessly clean everyday. On our return in the evening they provided us with chilled water and even kindly chilled our wine! There is private parking on their driveway and they were happy to move our car outside if we had an early start. It was a nice experience to live with an Italian family in their home. Our hosts also had an excellent command of English.

I stayed for 2 nights, it is not very far from the center of Taranto and some beaches.
The building is immersed in a tropical garden: palm trees, banana trees and the Jacarandas from which it takes its name
The owners are very helpful and take care of everything down to the smallest detail.
The room where I stayed had a large terrace with a sofa and 2 armchairs and a sun lounger with a shower on the terrace. It has a swimming pool where I relaxed for a couple of hours and sunbathed before leaving again.
Very clean. For sure if I have to return to Taranto I will stay in this B&B again.
