It is a nice hotel, right at the seashore with a small beach for the customers providing umbrellas, having some sand and rocks, with a large underwater wildlife. It also has a swimming pool with more shadows around and the bar makes delicious fresh fruit juices. The restaurant proposes a full menu with antipasti, 1st and 2nd plates and dessert...

Dear Casamona, I thank you for your review, in which you put in evidence how many aspect of the hotel services are subject to different individual judgments. A lot of people love our little bay, due to the large underwater wildlife, the quiet and privacy of this location. At the same time, somebody complains for the rocky nature of this...

This was my 5th visit to Alghero in 8 years, and the first visit to Hotel Calabona. I found the hotel to be a big dissapointment as I expected more from a 4* property. The hotel is located in a "dump" (geographically speaking) so when on the ground floor/pool area you may feel very enclosed and don´t get to see...

This is totally a gem in Alghero quietly tucked in away from the city. But not too far as to be able to enjoy 20-25 minute coastal walk to the city. The staff is very accommodating from the front reception to the people serving breakfast in the big marquee. We had an upset stomach on day 3 ( we had...

Fantastic service by the staff, nice location with a beautiful private beach, we have not used the restaurant neither the pool. Breakfast copious and well served. The only remarque is that the rooms, at least the one we used, are very old and faded, one of the staff said to us, next time book a superior in the new restored...

We stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks at the end of June. We had an early morning flight and was really pleased that our room was ready on arrival. Upgraded to a Superior Sea View Room when we booked and was delighted with both the room and the view. Everywhere is extremely clean and the housekeeping staff are so...

We came here with a Swedish charter trip, one week, half board, meaning we had breakfast and dinner at the hotel. We came for sun, warmth, Italian food, and Sardinian wine. Utter success! The hotel was very nice. Our room (258) had a great view from our balcony overlooking both the pool and the Mediterranean. Splendid! We didn't have sunset...

i'm a little late with this one having stayed here the last week of may, half board, fancied a break. overall a very nice hotel, well presented and 'v' shaped, on the coast so most rooms get great views over the pool, which is a good size and of the sea. quite a rocky coast line but the hotel has...

Stayed one week in an upgraded room that faced the ocean. Very clean room; excellent housekeeping (all over). Pool area was quiet and relaxed, never really crowded if you overlook the "towel reservations" made for sun beds. Small private beach gives direct access to sea. Good breakfast, - nice dinner menu / setting. Perhaps just as important as the hotel...

We stayed half board for one week and wished we could stay longer. The buffet breakfast is excellent with a wide choice and brilliant strong coffee. This is served in a large margue within the grounds of the Hotel. Dinner is a fixed four course meal with a variety of choices, the food is excellent and plentiful. Service throughout is...
