Wasn't too sure when we arrived as taxi took us down a back street and the hotel is beside a huge market which had just closed and litter etc was everywhere. Hotel is on first floor of an old building. However it is just off Via Etnea and very central. Bus to airport was 1 euro when going home. Ceiling paintings...

All you can ask for in a hotel: great location! Just around the awesome market of Catania (2 walking minutes), the famous elephant (10 walking minutes), the flea market (15 walking minutes). You are right in the middle of it all (yes, the University too). Nice clean rooms, good breakfast (one of the tastiest croissants I ever had) and an...

I recently stayed here while in Catania and it was decent! The staff were friendly, the place was clean (unlike Catania itself) and not too over priced, it was also in a good location so I'd recommend it.

Not great. Only spent one night here but beds uncomfortable, service monosyllabic, rooms dark and grim, and cockroaches in bathroom. On the plus side it has a lift, and is well-located in the centre of Catania.

Located in the heart of Catania, this hotel has all you need for a pleasant stay. The rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable, the staff very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast in the morning, we felt at home! Close to local markets (which I really recommend to visit!) and right in the middle of Catania's city centre where you...

This hotel has an elevator. Personnel was very friendly and helpful, asking all our questions. A clerk actually walked back to our car with us and directed us so we could drive to the hotel -- one-way streets can make driving a real challenge in many cities. They gave us directions for dropping off the car and, when we asked,...

When arriving in Catania one evening we taxied to a recommended hotel from my 2004 Lonely planet only to find that it was no longer an hotel ! Luckily the very kind owner of the building took us around the corner to Gresi Hotel in Via Pacini. This street is a small street that runs off the main Via Etnea.Entering through...

My plane landed late at night and although the 457 bus was still running I failed to find the bus stop at the airport and so took a taxi. Quoted about 20 euros but the meter read 30 euros after a circuitous journey. Typical!. The 457 bus to the airport and station comes down Via Etnea and there is a...

Nice big rooms with working air condition, hot water etc. Check-in is on the 3rd floor which was different and the place is a maze of staircases, but it's a wonderful starting point just off the main restaurant/ commercial strip. Would definitely return.

Stayed five nights in this hotel. Location is super in the centrum and busstops near. Because it's in a sideway, no noise problems. Room was ok, design a bit above average. Personnel was correct but some of them seem to be indifferent. Breakfast is like everywhere in Italy: a little bread (cornetto/croissant), yoghurt and coffee/tea
