Extremely helpful and friendly proprietor. Able to provide masses of tourist information re attractions and travel. Rooms good with all the facilities you need. Very clean. Disconcerting from the outside although alluring because of being housed in a palazzo in need of outside care! Inside appealing. No breakfasts although the rooms do have tea/coffee making facilities and a daily supply...

Although we stayed there only for a night we were happy that we found it! It has a free and secured parking, three doors to open to get to the room in the evening. Location is 10 minutes walking from the centre so it is top! It is distanced from the main road and the rooms (ours) have good sound...

Great rooms in a guest house with very interesting history. The proprietors were lovely, very relaxed and welcoming, able to answer any questions, provide advice etc and we felt very comfortable staying there, it is a very relaxed atmosphere in which you can feel at home. The room we stayed in was full of character, lovely colours and a beautiful...

It is central, it is located in an old well mantained building and it has huge rooms. It also has a private car park (which is extermely helpful in the centre of Catania), and the people running this "guest house" put together precision and reliability with passion and courtesy. We stayed two nights in a 4 beds bedroom. The room...

Easy to find and a good start to most places to see in Catania. This hotel overlooks the sea and was very easy to find, arriving at 10pm at night from the airport, by bus. It felt very safe walking in the streets. It was exactly as described in other reviews - beautiful décor, spacious, quiet, comfortable bed, lovely coffees...

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights to begin our adventure around Sicily and Italy! Perfect place to start our trip. Not far from the airport so we got a bus into Catania. Unfortunately we wasn't very good with directions and became lost on arrival in the city. We telephoned the owners who was able to locate us...

Was in Catania for a family reunion. We really enjoyed our stay at Holland International. Of note: the rooms are large and very clean. The fresco on the ceiling of our room was an Italian masterpiece. Overall, it was great value and I'd definitely return.

I was happy about the wifi and the a/c. The location is on the edge of the center. They have a cute cat that hangs out in the lobby, which is a plus for me! I found the owner to be less than friendly though. He does have an agreement with a taxi company, which is great because a taxi...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The GuestHouse "Holland International" is situated in the 18th century palace "Guttadauro di Reburdone", in the heart of the historic centre of Catania. In this way it is located inside the cultural and artistic centre of the city, among monuments and baroque style palaces, modern and ancient theatres and, obviously, pubs, restaurants and pizzerias. But, in the same time, the architecture of the palace offers a quiet environment and its position makes locations outside the city centre easy to reach by public transport. Catania is in fact an ideal city to plan excursions around the Etna volcano, and to reach touristic locations like Taormina and Siracusa. The ample and sunny rooms available are mostly decorated with original frescoes. The rooms are equipped with heating, air conditioning, satellite TV, Internet Wi Fi and tea-coffee making facilities. You can choose between rooms ensuite or rooms with a shared bathroom (shared exclusively between 2 rooms). The palace faces the sea, so some rooms have a pleasant view of Ionian Sea while others benefit from the peace of the large internal courtyard. Car parking is available at no cost. ... more   less
