The B&B is located in the centre of Catania. The people were very helpful e.g., recommended and organised the tour guides for our Mt. Etna excursion. Thee rooms were clean and spacious. The air-conditioning worked very well and quiet, which was essential for these hot August days. We had some nice days in Catania and its surroundings.

I was very pleased with this hotel. The Hosts Rita and Alexander were veryy wellcoming and responsive to all my questions providin all necessary information for excursions and trips in the city. The hotel is located in an old building in a street with some problems, because there are many imigrants but I have not any problems returning in the...

The hotel is located in a dangerous street. Actually, it does not look right - neither from outside, nor from inside. The cleaning of the room was not performed on daily basis. The rooms that are shown within the pictures are not all the same. The wireless works only on the reception. The hairdryer does not work. The people from the reception...

When you arrive... you are shown to a big wooden door and a buzzer. There is no sign to say what the place is called and only has the name of the place on the buzzer you have to press on the bottom of a 12 button panel. So you push the buzzer and the door opens. You then find...

I am truly astonished at the Professional photographs. I can hardly believe that it is the same hotel/ B&B. We had what we thought was two of the four rooms available neither of which were shown in the hotel photos. As previous reviews no sign of a terrace, we did glimpse an area up the stairs from the reception area...

The B&B is average, and it could turn into mediocre depending on the expectations. What could make it a good experience is the chance to feel like being in an old house of Catania in one of its alleys. Although the location is very good near the centre, the street is somehow grey, there are groups of well-behaved immigrants and...

My fiancee and I have just got back from the De Curtis B&B (as it says on the door - it is not a hotel). The photographs are misleading - there is no terrace or restaurant where you can have breakfast, the 'hotel' is on the third floor of what from the outside looks like a stable door with no...

Not easy to find from the outside as no sign only a small number with bell. Staff didn't speak English Staff locked myself, colleague and 15 students out so we were unable to enter the property and then denied doing it even through we heard him security latch on the door. The hotel itself is in the 'red-light district' of...

We thought the cab driver had made a mistake when he dropped us off in this neighborhood. When we entered the De Curtis, we entered through what used to be an old stable, and it still looked that way. Our room was large and clean with a double bath and a small, dirty balcony. One place they advertise they are...
