This may not be a five star hotel, but what I will tell you is that this has got to be the best service I've ever received! We are back in NY after an incredible 17 days abroad and our experience at this B&B will always stay with us. Allessandro was simply incredible. His job, his mission and his satisfaction...

I stayed at Porta Di Castro for 3 days at the beginning of September. I cannot say enough about the owner, the staff and the facilities. Firstly, the B&B is perfectly located to get to the sites and around Palermo in general. I walked for up to 5 hrs everyday through the many winding hidden streets and when I saw...

My husband and I along with our two children arrived at B&B Porta di Castro on the last two days of our Sicilian vacation. The owner Alessandro and his manager, also named Alessandro, were both at the reception when we arrived. The place was beautifully renovated blending old with modern. We were immediately checked in, given a glass of orange...

Our whole experience was amazing. They could not have been more friendly, helpful or good looking! the breakfast was a feast fit for royalty and served with a smile. The B &B itself is clean and decorated with flair! I would definitely go back anytime.

Our family stayed overnight here on our way to meet our boat charter to tour the Aeolian Islands. What a surprise to find the most accommodating host at this B&B. From the moment we arrived (somewhat exhausted from our overnight flight from NYC to Palermo) we felt welcomed and pampered by the proprietor (Alessandro) and his staff. From great recommendations...

This is without an exaggeration and without a doubt the best B&B I have ever stayed in. STAY HERE. If it is full, change your tickets so you can stay here. The building cleverly mixes the original features with the modern and new. The rooms are decent size, the shower - powerful, the wifi fast and air con functioning perfectly,...

Everything about this place is great as mentioned by other reviews, we stayed for just one night but could have happily stayed longer. The décor is really interesting and cleverly done. The breakfast is very filling and tasty with local pastries, fresh fruit, ham toasties and plenty of coffee! The location is great with the main street only a short...

This is a great B&B in the heart of Ballaro' neighborhood in Palermo. Fantastic location, great staff, can't think of a better place to explore the flavors of this gorgeous city. If you have car the staff will find a solution for you in a private parking 1 minute walk from the premises. Clean, functional, in a reconverted church, this...

We stayed in Porta di Castro for three nights. Both Alessandro's were really friendly and welcoming. We really liked the excellent city centre location, the quirky decor and the fantastic breakfast. A great place to stay if you're taking a few days to explore this lovely city.

This B&B was well situated to explore the old town of Palermo. The hosts were extremely helpful in finding great food options as well as suggestions of what to see. Breakfasts were also very generous. Rooms were quirky but tasteful.
