The B&B is a fully renovated nineteenth century building (the work was completed in October 2010); it has retained the grace and charm of a period house, but also provides every comfort, making it the ideal place for an unforgettable stay. The hotel has three floors and consists of 9 large rooms with private bathrooms, each with a unique atmosphere made magical by a breathtaking view of the market alleys and rooftops of the city. For longer stays or small groups, three stylish self contained apartments, consisting of bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and living area, are also available. Breakfast, served in the beautiful lounge, is prepared on the same day with local organic products and according to your tastes and needs. The lounge, with comfortable sofas and armchairs, satellite TV, wireless and internet point is perfect for relaxing. The flowery terrace is the ideal setting to enjoy an aperitif made with local produce, enjoying a stunning view of the cathedral, the royal palace and the picturesque rooftops of the old city. With their interior garden, the great frescoed room and the fully equipped kitchen, the premises are also suitable, at the request of the guests, for musical evenings, themed dinners and other exclusive events. We are always keen to offer plenty of suggestions and all our expertise to enrich your holiday in Palermo.

Cannot recommend this highly enough for an escape from the chaos of the city center. Everything is convenient and walkable. The hotel is clean, rooms comfortable and well appointed and the staff is wonderful. Fanny will attend to any need and has excellent recommendations. Minibar stuffed with great drinking choices, wine, Prosecco at reasonable prices. Breakfast is relaxed, enjoyable and bountiful on the lovely patio or main dining room. We had the suite on top floor with veranda, and views were special. See pictures. Note: the veranda does require climbing a steep, but short, spiral staircase. This neighborhood Is safe and full of local color. Proximity to Teatro Massimo and taking in a show, is excellent. Parking is close by, secure and 15 Euro per day, attendant even helpful with directions, sites to see, etc. Don’t hesitate.

The excellence of hospitality immersed in the popular and multi-ethnic neighborhood of the historic city.
The hotel manager, Funny N., was great! She was very welcoming and very professional in recommending places of interest to us.
We stay one night only but due its location very near any attractions and cultural place we can go everywhere easily.

The renovation of this property has been done quite well. All the comforts one would expect, while retaining the classic charm of old Palermo. Easy walking (5 - 10 mins) to three main streets of old Palermo ((1) Via Vittorio Emanule, running from marina up to the cathedral and the palace; (2) Via Maqueda, a perpendicular pedestrian street for food ana shopping between the BnB and the marina, and (3) Via Roma, parallel to Maqueda and closer to the Marina with sidewalks, shops, Ana banks). Via Sant’ Agosto itself, a smaller street, takes you directly to the marina if you wish, crossing V. Maqueda and V. Roma.

The staff was VERY helpful and friendly, helping us arrange a private boat trip in the bay, a cooking class, and massages.

Great breakfast as well!

Spent a lovely couple days here. Great central location in the market. Our room was spacious and well appointed. The shower was the best we encountered in Sicily. Nice sitting area to enjoy a class of wine at the end of the day provided in the mini bar at a reasonable price. The breakfasts were amazing. Most of the pastries were baked in house and the afternoons smells coming out of the kitchen amazing. Antonio was helpful organizing a ride to the airport, and providing what ever assistance we needed. He also followed up on everything! A lovely, comfortable, charming place to stay in central Palermo.

This property is centrally located in the heart of Palermo and easily walkable to the major historical attractions, sites, shopping, dining, etc. The staff went above and beyond, helping us secure a stroller after the airline lost ours. Breakfast was delicious, the room was comfortable, and we were very happy with the stay.

The only thing I would add it that the stairs leading up to the loft in the quad room are quite steep. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone with limited mobility or for small children, but that wasn't a problem for us.

This gem of a B&B is an oasis in the heart of historic Palermo. Our room had a rooftop terrace and was beautifully appointed with modern amenities while preserving the character of the inn. Breakfast was served on the common garden terrace and by the second day the attentive staff knew our coffee preference! Fanny was the perfect hostess, providing assistance with day trips and a guided tour with a local guide who was knowledgeable and clearly loved the city. We would highly recommend a stay for a night or a week at B&B Sant’Agostino!

This B&B is excellent. The building is from the 1800s but the interior has been updated into a comfortable modern place. They have gorgeous greenery on the patio. Best of both eras. The staff is attentive and treats you like family. The breakfast is amazing. They connected us with a local driver (Lavinia, she’s wonderful) who helped us get around for a few days, since public transportation is spotty and cabs can be problematic. I highly recommend this place.

Sant’Agostino is tucked away several blocks from noisy/busy Via Maqueda and very close to the Capo Market, which has fabulous produce, seafood, cheeses, prepared foods. Our room was quiet and had a wonderful high ceiling along with a small balcony for a table and two chairs. We also appreciated the nicely stocked mini-bar and modern bathroom. A buffet breakfast includes fruit, pastries and more. The interior courtyard tables and seating make for a pleasant start to the day. Simona was so nice and helpful, giving us an overview of the area with a map and making two excellent dinner reservations for us. Thank you Simona! About a 20 minute walk from the train and close to all you want to see in Palermo by foot. We would love to stay at Sant’Agostino again.
