Hotel's location is walking distance to the downtown and old city of Palermo. From Falcone-Borsellino airport takes about 30 min to get there with taxi.

Hotel room was big, squeaky clean and nice renovated bathroom.

Dinner was delicious and self-service breakfast was full of choice even if I was a bit late.

The only thing bothering me was the lockdown of the premises at night. And you have to wake up the night security to enter.

All in all it is good hotel and I will be happy to use it again.

the hotel caters to tourist groups and airline crews plus some smaller conferences. It's busy even in the shoulder season. The area maps provided at reception was illegible (photocopies of photocopies of ....).
Amazing sugar donuts at b/f!
Apples as the only fruit for b/f is shameful in an area that produces sooo many citrics.
3 elevators are not enough at check out times of large tourist groups - basically all leaving at the same time.
Area is very dirty, garbage is out of control. Rats are sween running around the hotel probably because of proximity to Fruit maket.

I rate this hotel as 3.5 stars, but preferred to round up to 4, rather than down to 3. We had a very pleasant stay there for one night. Having caught the overnight ferry from Naples, we arrived very early at the hotel and naturally, the rooms weren't ready, which was to be expected. However, the hotel was happy to store our luggage in a secure room. Then and later on, all staff at reception were extremely helpful.
While perhaps not perfectly located, the hotel is about 3 km from the centre of Palermo, but there is a bus stops pretty much outside to be able to catch the 107 bus to and from town (the fare is 1.4 Euros each way). The Port of Palermo is about 1.3 kms away.
The hotel itself has a large lobby/foyer area which includes a lounge/bar area with plenty of comfortable seats. There is a restaurant on the ground floor, which offers breakfast - satisfactory, although reliant on pastries - and dinner - very good, with plenty of options and very tasty.
Our double room was a good size, with plenty of room to store cases out of the way. It had a fridge, a safe and a good shower/bath.

I chose this hotel because it was 4 star and close to the centre. However I would not recommend to anyone. They have varying levels of rooms from economy standard and superior. I would not recommend as my room stank of smoke. When I mentioned to reception I wanted my money back the lady told me it was ‘’my problem?’ Very argumentative and not willing to apologise when I had breathed in a large amount of smoke during a global pandemic. The room had a sign saying no smoking and a fine would be made if people smoked. However the hotel staff failed to recognise or apologise for what had happened. Terrible service and I will be claiming back the money lost

Dear Sophie, we are sorry to know that you didn't enjoyed your stay at our hotel. About your negative experience, it's important for us to clarify some questions. All our rooms are non-smoking and each room has smoke detectors to uninhibit and act as a deterrent to avoid smoking in the room, with signs confirming this. Having clarified this point, it is good ethics, morality and education to respect what we have requested. Despite this, all the rooms are sanitized on departure, therefore the unpleasant smell of smoke is completely eradicated. Unfortunately, it was not possible to solve your problem because any room change seemed to her welcome. We hope to be able to host you again to show you our improvements in problem solving. Best Regards,

One of the worst hotel experience I ever had.

On arrival, the receptionist tried to overcharge us. We could only arrange a lower price comparing to online prices, but still received the most economic room of the hotel, looking not at all like the photos online. Some lamps didn't work, one was almost broken, dirty floor, full of dust, bathtub full of rust, beds like the foldable military ones, no mini bar, safe wasn't working, same for internet and smell like it was closed for ages and of course, without breakfast in the price. We were so tired that we just wanted to sleep and in the morning we asked for another room. Unwillingly, the same receptionist gave us a slightly better room, still not as the standard one in the photos.

After the second night, we woke up at 7am because workers started renovations in the exact next room, drilling walls, carrying equipment, shouting and with these fake doors and walls, someone can hear every single sound very clearly. I understand that there are things to be done, but the hotel is huge and there are plenty of rooms to accommodate the guests. We contacted neighboring guests as well and they were even more disappointed because they had booked standard room and they were made to pay for a overcharged superior and still not meeting the expectations, plus with a poor breakfast.

The employees were very rude, never heard even a greeting and on the check out, the only thing that the receptionist said was "Are you sure you didn't take anything from the mini bar in 3 rooms?". It was ridiculous.

Three days in this hotel, three different rooms ending up in a more decent one that we had paid from the beginning. I know which hotel I never want to visit again. I don't know how this place managed to be rated as a 4-star hotel and for sure it should be re-evaluated.

I’ve stayed in a wide variety of hotels all over the world and this, I have to say, is by far the worst. Starting from checking in and throughout our stay apart from one lady on the desk all the staff seemed miserable and ignorant. The room was filthy, dark and not very comfortable at all. The bathroom sink plug wouldn’t move and the safe didn’t work. I had to call reception to get them repaired, which was done very promptly. The bathroom was a health hazard as shown by the photos. Mouldy shower curtain and mould behind the taps. Lukewarm water to shower in and to top it all table napkins instead of hand towels. Breakfast was a complete disaster on both days. Nearly all the spare tables covered in dirty pots. No fruit for cereals apart from some very unappealing apples. The only hotel I’ve ever visited that didn’t have a toaster or toast available. The last photo is the fresh water dispenser in the restaurant. We didn’t complain because we were only there two nights. We’d never stay here again and certainly wouldn’t recommend anyone else to stay here. The place needs a complete revamp and updated hotel policies.

Don't get lured in by the "pretty" pictures posted on Expedia. It is COMPLETELY a bait and switch. The room we got looked NOTHING like the photos shown on the site. The room looked worse than Motel 6 or any of those cheap hotel chains in the USA.

Where do I even start? When I first stepped into the room, I was greeted by the smell of raw sewage and I discovered it was coming from the bathroom. It made me want to gag and puke. The sink, toilet, and tub had old stains on them, the carpet was old and musty, and the walls had black smudges everywhere.

When I went to the front desk to complain about the smell, they were unapologetic and acted like they couldn't care less and said they would send someone to look at it "tomorrow." I'm sorry, but you want me to sleep in room that smells like rancid sewage?

Also the room key card they gave me didn't work. I had to go up and downstairs about 10 times to ask for a new card. How lame, especially given they only had two tiny slow elevators.

Such a shame that I booked 5 whole nights here. I had to open the window to help with the sewage smell, and then mosquitoes came in and bit me a million times. Someone eventually did come in and spray some air freshener which sort of helped cover the smell.

The worst was that the front desk concierge was completely unapologetic and acted annoyed whenever I asked them something. They really need to learn some customer service because I'd give them a big fat F.

Booked this hotel without seeing the reviews and got spooked the week before when I checked them. I needed to write a review to say that I had a great experience here so please don't be put off by the other reviews. The room was clean and modern, it looks like they are renovating them bit by bit. The staff at reception were friendly and helped out with everything I needed from calling me countless taxis to even wine recommendations. The location was OK, in between Mondello beach and Palermo centre. All in all, I don't have a negative thing to say.

The room was okay but the staff were rude and the Wi-Fi was the worst I’ve ever encountered. Me and my girlfriend stayed here for just one night as our flight was cancelled. We paid €90 for the room. We tried to settle down and watch a film in the evening but the Wi-Fi wouldn’t allow us, when I asked the staff they suggested me to come downstairs and watch it in the reception area…? Poor service and I wouldn’t recommend for a relaxing evening.

Hello Margherita, I liked the hotel room and breakfast. It is cheap but it is a good room.. The location is not the best. Staf told us there was a bus stop to go to city center just outside hotel but we could not find it, so we used the car. If you have a car is a nice place, because there is parking, but by bus i dont know if it is ok. Also be aware that driving in palermo is not easy. Traffic is the craziest i have seen but we managed ok, it is not impossible, just be careful. Staf is not very gentle but ok.

I did not use the car park but I used to see a number of residents going up a small slope leading to the hotel's carpark. I don't think its a problem but if I were you I would directly enquire with the Hotel administration if you still have an issue.. Have a nice stay!!!
