Highly recommend Il Piccolo Giardino for any visitors to Taormina. Excellent location - right near the main strip and the cable cars but importantly great service. Alessio at the front desk made our trip special. Every attraction and restaurant he suggested were brilliant and he was super nice and helpful. He definitely helped make our trip to Taormina amazing! Thank you Alessio and Il Piccolo Giardino!

I booked this hitel through Hotels.com and was quite disappointed to see that they did not have some of the amenities that was stayed on Hotels.com's website. Despite it not being the Hotel's fault (as they had not been the ones to falsely advertise), the Hotel was very apologetic and upgraded us. The check in process was extremely quick and they are extremely attentive. Would stay here again.

My husband, 14 yr daughter and I were very comfortable in our triple room. Excellent staff! My luggage didn’t arrrive into Rome, so Beatriz and Rachel called the claims agency and had them deliver my suitcase to the hotel. Thank you so much. This type of kind reception desk help is hard to find. They also helped with beach ideas for beach clubs to visit-well worth it. Alessio also was helpful with Etna tour and recommendations for restaurants. There was a roof top plunging pool with some jets that was a perfect mid day cool down before heading out for the evening. The view from there was amazing - infinity style. The daily breakfast included with our room had great selection. We made our fresh squeezed organic juice daily with Sicilian sweet oranges-we miss it already. Anita,

This little hotel is in a great location. Down a few steps and you are on the main cobbled street of Taormina. With a lovely 'little garden', this hotel is bright and light. Our room was in the annexe which is two steps from the breakfast room across a tiny alley and was lovely with lift access. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The lovely Anita runs breakfast which is plentiful. Great value when booking ahead considering this fantastic location.

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. Firstly, the pros. Ideally located just off the Corso Umberto, the gorgeous town centre of Taormina is within a minute’s reach. That said, access from Corso Umberto to the hotel is via a set of stairs so this might be difficult for parents with strollers or those with mobility issues. My room was spacious (I was checked into a triple room despite being on my own) and had relatively updated decor and furnishing. The air conditioning worked well, providing comfortable respite from the summer heat. The roof top pool was an added bonus. There were plenty of sun loungers, although the pool itself is small and is really designed for a quick dip. The cons. To my mind, the reception staff really let this place down. Unfriendly and unhelpful, it

Dear customer without name, we are unhappy to hear you express conflicting opinions. You have emphasized many positive things about our Hotel, including getting a FREE UPGRADE in a Triple room - despite a single-use reservation - from the same Reception Staff for whom you spent so much time telling a troubled Check in. The Hotel is in the pedestrian area, Customers who arriving by taxi, as you, enter the back door, which is the first floor of the hotel. To arrive at the Reception you need to go one floor down and the information is given when the door is opened. None of you has been waiting in the street, you have entered the hotel and you have lost in other floors, while the Staff was meeting you on the first floor. Mistakes of your own initiative should not be given to others or otherwise be the object of so much attention, especially if the rest of the stay was perfect. Probably sympathy is not with you.

This hotel was in the heart of Taormina, a few steps away from Corso Umberto (main strip). The two gentlemen at reception were always smiling and extremely accommodating, as was Anita in the breakfast area. Breakfast was simple, the pastries and cakes were all home made by the chef at the hotel, and were delicious! The rooms were on the smaller side, however the air con was great and there was heaps of channels on the Sky TV. We were also pleased to find a laundromat right next door! Overall, would recommend this hotel to people staying in the area.

The hotel is in the city center. So after taking some steps down you will be in the lively street of Taormina (Many hotels, beach and restaurants have stairs in Taormina. So handicapped/elder people should be very careful while choosing their hotels. Unfortunately, many hotels including Il Piccolo Giardino are not handicapped friendly). After walking for about five minutes you can be in the cable car which will take you to the beach. The staff is helpful. Rooms are OK.

I stayed at Piccolo Giardino on a group tour of Sicily; as a member of a tour, I didn not choose the hotels, or the class of room. Piccolo Giardino is in the perfect location for shopping, sightseeing and enjoying the atmosphere of Taormina. The service at the hotel is gracious--when the safe in my room refused to open due to a weak battery, they had it fixed in moments. I heard that the views from some of the rooms were beautiful--similar to the views from the roof. However, the view from my standard room was into a narrow alley, with a sagging and frayed wire just outside the window. The room itself was large and clean. The decoration and furniture were adequate. The bathroom was spacious, but the rusty light fixture over the basin was typical of the overall impression that

Dear Tarquinvi, as you have written, the room's class was choosen from your tour, a Standard room that has no balcony like upper and more expensive typologies. Maybe it wasn't right take put pictures for this, because the assignment did not depend on us. Thank you anyway for you good comments. We are working for new furnitures and to improve the breakfast. Best regards

Walk out of your hotel and down some steps and you are right on the main shopping strip. Hotel has a front and back entrance. The back entrance is where you can get picked up and dropped off however it is a narrow road not all cars will be able to get down there. The other entrance is by foot and off the main strip. The hotel is easy to come and go as you please due to the fantastic locations. The staff were friendly and attentive. They offer breakfast downstairs every morning with an adequate selection of breakfast options. The rooms were tidy and normal hotel room size. There is a rooftop where a pool is located. Make sure you check it out either for a swim or for the amazing view!!
