Located in the heart of Taormina, just 50 metres from Porta Catania - one of the two historic entrances that lead onto Corso Umberto, the main pedestrian street of the historic centre. The hotel is also 50 metres from Parking Porta Catania. The Hotel Casa Adele is the ideal location to spend a relaxing and carefree holiday, immersed in the magic and glamour of the capital of Sicilian tourism. This prestigious building whose majesty evokes an atmosphere of other times was built by the Cascio family at the beginning of 1900s. The Hotel Casa Adele which has recently returned under the management of its owner who has overseen its restoration, without leaving anything to chance, is an exclusive, magical, enchanting and highly evocative place. An appealing mix that combines the familiarity of a domestic environment but is also equipped with all the comforts of a typical first-class accommodation.

We were supposed to spend one night only in Taormina...but upon the moment I've contacted the hotel, I immediately understood that this will be a unique experience...therefore we decided to stay longer. The hotel is perfectly located, few minutes away from the beautiful Corso Umberto. Mr. Giuseppe, his sister Manuela and the entire family have worked to hard to restore this historical house and they did it it amazingly. The hotel used to be Giuseppe's grandma private house, that was converted into a pension. The hotel is tastefully decorated, mix of ancient and modern. Bedooms are spotless, very well equipped (including AC) , spacious, bright and comfortable. When you enter into the breakfast room, is like steeping back for a moment into the past. The breakfast buffet is rich and complete. Don't miss the opportunity to taste the cakes (crostate) that are daily backed by the uncle of Mr. Giuseppe and the fresh squeezed orange juice made with the organic oranges from their garden. The entire team at the hotel has made our stay unforgettable, helping and finding a solution for any request we submitted. Thank you Giuseppe, Manuela, Tina and all the team for the fantastic stay : we promise you we will come back !

Arriving just post Covid I was one of only a few guests. Casa Adele did absolutely everything to make my stay here absolutely perfect. The rooms are spacious, the bed super comfy, the breakfasts delicious and everything is spotless! A two minute walk to old town and the famous Corso Umberto. I would absolutely stay here again.

My family and I stayed at the Casa Adele in July 2020. As someone who has travelled the world and stayed at countless hotels, bed and breakfasts, resorts, etc., it was ONE OF THE MOST SPECIAL hospitality experiences I’ve had. We communicated about our stay with the owner, Guissepe. The hotel is located in the center of the small town of Taormina. If driving, it can be a daunting drive up the small, winding roads; however, the hotel offers parking at a daily rate in their garage, which is directly attached to the hotel. We were greeted at the door and given directions to park. The incredible hospitality experience began as soon as we pulled up to the door of the home. HOTEL: STUNNING. It is a small hotel, with only 9 rooms. It has a bed and breakfast vibe, but with hotel level accommodations. The rooms are spacious and PRISTINELY clean. The floors are a beautiful marble, the decor neutral and aesthetically exceptional. The attention to detail throughout is breathtaking. The original wooden archways, iron light fixtures, marble fireplace place, and antique furniture juxtaposed with the modern renovations create a perfect harmony between old Casa Adele and new Casa Adele. Breakfast is included and is served in a beautiful dining room and features produce and eggs picked daily from their garden and hens, as well as pastries homemade by family and friends. Breakfast is cooked by a staff member, Gina, who cooked the best omelette I’ve had in my life. The hotel also features a terrace with outdoor furniture and views of the Ionian Sea and the city of Taormina. HISTORY: Guissepe told us the beautiful history of the hotel our first morning at breakfast. The hotel first opened in 1949. His grandmother, Adele, opened it after her husband and his grandfather was diagnosed with a terminal illness and given three years to live. Wanting to ensure that she would be able to care for her two sons after her husband’s passing, she converted her own home into a restaurant and small hotel. She served home cooked meals with ingredients she bought daily, fresh. She hired an all female staff, with the exception of a male security guard, in the hopes of giving women a chance to work at a time when this was uncommon, particularly in Italy, and especially in Taormina. He told the story of a young woman whose husband physically abused her and then left her with a baby. Adele hired this woman, despite the woman’s hesitation that she would not be able to care for her baby while working. Adele assured her that the staff would take turns taking care of the baby and that she could bring the baby to work every day. This woman, Giuseppe recounted, went on to live a joyful life until 102, always grateful for the opportunity provided to her by Adele. The hotel closed in the 1970s, after Adele passed away. Her sons went on to careers outside the hospitality business. Two years ago, Adele’s grandson, Guissepe, made the decision to reopen Hotel Casa Adele, hoping to revive and reestablish the original intimate, charming, and generous spirit of the business his grandmother built. He renovated the hotel as it stands today, keeping as much of the original fixtures and furniture as possible. A HIGHLY recommended accomodation experience. Grazie mille a Guissepe and Casa Adele!!!!!

I stayed here for one night since we were driving all over Sicily and I was amazed by the cleanliness in the Hotel and friendly service we received by Giuseppe and Manuela. Recently renovated in the heart of Taormina, just meters away from main street this very well kept Hotel is an excellent stay for those who want to feel at home while abroad. Breakfast was genuinely fresh prepared just minutes before we booked our time, fresh orange juice, home made cakes, delicious croissants, it was a mix of continental and our traditional daily breakfast including omelettes, toast, selection of cold cuts and fresh fruit. If you are travelling by car this Hotel also provide an interconnected parking space in the garage which is very ideal since parking in Taormina may cost a fortune. We had a massive double room since we were a family of four, comfortable spacious beds and a fully equipped large bathroom. It was the ideal place to rest after a long day and I recommend to all who is travelling with kids, its SUPER CLEAN. Thank you once again, I will DEFINITELY return and tell everyone about our great experience.
