Perfect location for walking the sights and shopping. Super comfortable and spacious apartment and nice breakfast included. Well worth the price and staff was friendly as well as informative. We would stay here again.

This boutique hotel was the joy of our recent trip to Florence. We booked the suite with a balcony facing directly toward the Duomo. The views of the cathedral, the baptistry, and the square were nothing short of amazing! Also, the staff were so very accommodating in helping us with taxis, holding our luggage after check-out so that we could...

Location is excellent...right in the middle of it all. That can be good or bad. But you really can't escape the crowds in this city so you might as well be well-positioned. It's not the most amazing room, but it does the trick. And the amenities are good: kitchenette with sink, refrigerator, utensils, coffee maker and coffee, breakfast sweetbreads delivered...

My sister and I stayed at Granduomo Hotel for eight days in September 2016. This hotel is in a perfect location to walk to and see all of Florence's major historic sights. This is a very good hotel and I would most certainly stay here again on a future trip to Florence. All of the staff members are very friendly...

I totally recommend this place, it is right infront of the duomo, across the street, the view from our room is in the pictures; you can see the duomo in all the three windows, nothing in between. Margherita and Marianela are super nice and helpful, they helped us find a nearby garage to leave the car, it was a short...

My husband and I stayed at Granduomo Charming Accommodation for four nights in September. We got the room with the balcony with the view of the Duomo. The room was spacious and beautiful with lots of light. Even though it was noisy outside, we didn't hear it when the balcony door was closed. The kitchenette was nice to have and...

I had a wonderful time staying at the deluxe apartment for 4 (2 joining rooms on level 2) with my family. We stayed for three nights and absolutely loved the stay. The hotel has a warm, homey atmosphere, the staff are kind/welcoming, and it's literally five steps away from the duomo and smack in the center of the main area...

Lovely boutique style hotel right on the door step of the Duomo (name probably gives it away). Shopping, sightseeing, restaurants all right in the door step. A lovely little roof top sitting area and little library both add to the experience. Staff delightful and very accommodating.

We made a two day reservation but we liked Florence and this hotel so much that we stayed two additional days. We first got a nice room (33D) and then the top room: first floor with a balcony. We walked from the train station (Via Panzani and Via de Cerratine) and missed the hotel location on our first try. It...

Recently engaged (3 days prior) I selected this room to surprise my fiancé for one night. We went to the market and got a selection of meats and cheeses not to mention wine, sat on the balcony and enjoyed staring at the Duomo. Everything about this room was perfect. Can't say enough!

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
