I'm all for experiencing local culture and understand average Europeans do not enjoy the same amount of personal space and luxury as average Americans. Therefore, I expect rooms in old buildings in Italy to be smaller and water pressure to be weaker and accept the...More
The hotel is centrally located, close to the city centre and very close to the train station. The staff were very friendly. The room was clean. Wifi reception in the room was good. I would go here again.
We stayed overnight on transit before catching an early train in the morning. The location was perfect as it's 10-minute walk to Santa Maria Novella train station. The room was comfortable and it has the basic facilities. We had the shared bathroom/toilet which was inconveniently...More

Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The
area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
