Lovely hotel and staff. Rooms clean with mini fridge (soft drinks, prosecco and beer-super cheap!) seriously amazing view of Florence. Complimentary fruit, biscuits, tea, fruit teas, coffee but no official set breakfast available which I found strange considering it's advertised as bed and breakfast. No on street parking as you'll get fined however they offer a parking service in a...

staff was very friendly and caring, location was fantastic as very close to the Dom. Room was fine and the price was okay. However, the building itself was quite old and the elevator was a bit scary too.

Had room Bianco, one of the nicest rooms I've stayed in in Italy. Most comfortable bed, brilliant AC. Free wifi, mini bar. From the moment we checked in we were made feel so welcome. Excellent recommendations for dinner. The location is excellent, a little hard to find initially but if you find the Hard Rock Cafe its across the road...

We were so happy with this lovely elegant boutique hotel! The room was beautiful, the beds were comfortable, we had a great view out our window, and the location was central. Staff was accommodating. They do not serve breakfast on site but they give you a coupon to a local breakfast restaurant that has a great buffet + American eggs....

Lovely clean interior with funky modern design. Perfect location with a side view to the Duomo. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. They have a small tea & coffee making facility in the reception area. Also fresh fruit & biscotti at no additional cost. We booked via hotel booking site and didn't realise breakfast wasn't included in our rate, surprising for...

Our stay at the B&B La Dimora degli Angeli was the highlight of our recent Italy trip. The hotel couldn't be in a better location for exploring the city of Florence, just a few steps from the Duomo and surrounding sights. Despite this central location, we weren't bothered by the noise on the streets below, which was an initial concern....

We have now stayed at this B&B twice. Once for a few days in 2012 and again this June for six days. Our experience is such that we would not consider staying anywhere else if we get to visit this wonderful city again. The central location is ideal, the facilities are wonderful, the rooms beautiful and the staff extremely helpful,...

We stayed here for three nights and it was wonderful. The location was central to everything and the staff was excellent. The room was very nice and modern. We had originally planned to stay two nights but we're lucky enough that they could accommodate us and make it three!

The location is within a block of the Duomo. Also very close to the Hard Rock Cafe. We by train to Florence and although it is within walking distance, we had a hard time finding the hotel despite directions from the hotel and google maps. Also, the streets are all cobblestone and crowded so do yourself a favour and grab...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
