We spent 9 days at B&B Il Gattopardo. I can’t imagine a better place to stay when visiting Florence. I really loved the great location, right in the heart of this historical city and the way in which the hostess of this splendid B&B makes you feel at home. Her kindness and her willingness to help you finding the finest...

We stayed here 4 nights, first timers to Italy. We had a little trouble with the Electric Minibus C2 to get to the location but once we finally located it. It is centrally located and in the middle of all the best attractions. Lively streets close by with tons of entertainment, food, and shopping. Once we figured out where we...

The location is great , actually is at the heart of the main city ( closed to Piazza la Signoria and Duomo). I also enjoyed the breakfast by Alkmini , the very...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
