First off the location was unbelievable, right on the Arno, and 2 minute walk to Ponte Vecchio. The staff was very friendly. I would suggest you check out their little bar in lobby. Breakfast was also a fantastic way to start the day. I would go back in a second.

First trip to Florence. Small boutique hotel. Common areas pleasant and comfortable. Buffet breakfast excellent. Room small, bathroom very small and awkward and not in keeping with room rate. Annoyance is key controls electricity so if you leave room you can't charge any electronic devices. Worst is the wifi access, included but very spotty at best and occasionally not at...

The Hotel Lungarno is a welcome respite from the hectic and overcrowded streets. Yes, the rooms are not modern, as they are a more classic style. But comfy and serene. Spend a little extra for one of the river front rooms with a terrace or balcony. We had a post card perfect view of the very close Ponte Vecchio and...

I was fortunate to be invited to visit with friends in Florence, one of my favourite European cities...It was suggested that I try this charming hotel, right on the river Arno in central Florence. What a find, and what service. Beautiful hotel, fantastic setting overlooking the Ponte Vecchio. Every morning sat on a terrace watching the river and Florence life...

We spent one night here recently while on a Tuscan vacation. Firstly, we had some trouble getting to the hotel, as we had our own vehicle. The one way system in Florence is not the most easy to navigate and thankfully we had found out prior to leaving on our trip that we had to pre book a spot in...

First trip to Florence and I found this hotel on the Internet. I live in Asia and am therefore spoilt for nice hotels. For European hotel standard this is excellent, both in terms of quality and size. Perhaps not the newest hotel you can find but the location is superb, view from lobby bar is sublime and the concierge service...

After an awful experience at one of its other Lungarno Hotels, the GM (Francesco Roccato) behaved as a true hotelier and moved us to this wonderful property. The hotel is perfect, outdated yet that's what it is all about, true and candid to Firenze, and impeccable service... The only downside is... internet. Wi-Fi coverage and bandwidth are poor at its...

Our five day stay in Florence was made even more enjoyable and relaxing by the excellent accommodations and wonderful staff at the Hotel Lungarno. The staff at the desk made recommendations and reservations for every dinner and all were just as we requested and within walking distance of the hotel. Beautiful hotel and amazing location, certainly the most beautiful part of Florence. When we entered we were greeted by a friendly staff who immediately put us at ease and were at our complete disposal. The rooms were amazing, overlooking the Arno and were perfect in every detail as was the rest of the hotel. Breakfast was from 7:00 am and...

Staying in Pitti

Neighbourhood Profile
Pitti
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
