I picked this hotel due to the roof bar and what a cracking little bar this was. Amazing views, friendly bar staff and some great photos. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful, rooms large enough and clean and fantastic location within easy walking distance to most attractions. Breakfast was surprisingly nice with a god choice. Only downside...

We were told that the AC was turned off in the entire hotel due to "federal regulations" (interesting that none of the hotels we stayed at in Rome, Venice, Milan, or Cinque Terre had to adhere to those, or any of the other hotels in Florence for that matter). Anyway, keeping the windows closed made the room sweltering hot, so...

Dear Guest, We would like to thank you for your comments. Most unfortunately in Florence we are obliged to stop the air-conditionig untill May 1st, there are some Hotels who don't care about this, but we are not in this position. We had a few days when the temperature went up to 25°, but after three days it went once...

My mother and I visited Florence for the first time this March as a present for Mother's Day and the hotel played a big part in the amazing time we had. First of all the location is great. Ideally situated with the Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore a five minute walk away. The best feature of the hotel is...

Convenient hotel in the middle of all the tourist attractions (especially useful when it is difficult to find public toilets). Hotel upgraded our room as we went during non-peak season and the room was very spacious. The rooftop terrace views were spectacular. However, it was hard to take photos with the duomo in the background unless you're sitting at the...

Although we spent only 1 night in Florence, our stay at the hotel was very good. Central location, you can reach all must-seen locations on foot within couple of minutes. Nice, renovated, clean and well equipped rooms, friendly and helpful staff, professional customer service. If we will come back to Florence, we will definitely choose it again!

Great hotel, however our room was exposed to the street and therefore extremely noisy. The staff was friendly. Breakfast with extensive choices. Assure at check-in to get a room facing away from the Main Street.

My wife and I stayed in a room on the fifth floor, very comfortable, boutique style. The location of this hotel was superb, sited between the Arno river and the Doumo, probably no more than 400 metres from the main sites. It does get a little noisy at night until quite late, but then that has to be expected for...

clean hotel in great location. Staff super helpful. Amazing breakfast with fresh fruits, juices, eggs, fabulous croissants and of course coffee made to order. We left the hotel each day and explored wonderful sites and were in walking distance of great restaurants, museums, the Duomo, and the staff would get us in touch with taxi's, tours and restaurants. Thanks Grand...

We arrived here for a 3-night getaway. Tip - for transfer from Florence airport - just get a taxi - it's a fixed 22 euro plus 1 euro per piece of luggage. So no real need to look at other alternatives if there's more than 1 of you. The hotel is very easy to find - along a main road...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
