I recently stayed at this hotel with my mother, wanting something with central location so she could have easy walking - though most things in the main area of Florence are close. This hotel is right beside the bridge, and only a few steps more from the Uffizi. The David/Accademia is probably the furthest attraction, 20-30 minutes at most on...

We spent Friday and Saturday nights here on a recent trip. The room was a little larger than others we stayed at, the shower was great and we didn't have any trouble with water temp that others have mentioned. Modern facilities but the room had an old charm to it and it was clean. Our window overlooked the court in...

Great Hotel, Great Location, stayed one night ... yes I would stay here again mainly due to the location. The shower water temperature, was probably the most difficult ... going from hot to cold constantly, hard to enjoy a quick shower... but apart from this, was very happy for a nights accommodation to see Florence.

My friend and I stayed at Hotel Hermitage for 4 nights and we really enjoyed our stay. It was a little hard to find when we first arrived as it is down a small side street but the location is excellent; steps away from the Ponte Vecchio, five minutes walk from the Uffizi gallery and within fifteen minutes from many...

A lovely hotel with excellent and helpful staff. Rooftop dining area with a wonderful array of foods for the included breakfast. Less then 100 steps from the Ponte Vecchio. An easy walk from all the places we visited. Rooms were small but very well appointed.

This was my 3rd stay at this hotel and I still love the staff, location, and rooms. Jolanta has greeted myself and each nephew with great warmth. All of the staff have been helpful in booking tickets to museums, getting train times and recommending places to eat. The rooms have all been comfortable, clean, and safe. The location can't be...

This hotel was recommended to me and I'm so glad we followed the recommendation! My husband and two daughters (21 and 23) stayed 3 nights. The room was lovely decorated, there was plenty of room for the 4 of us and the bath was perfectly adequate. The location of this hotel is great! It is steps to the Ponte Vecchio,...

We had a fab stay at Hotel Hermitage - a perfect base to explore Florence, right by the Ponte Vecchio. The bedroom was a good size with plenty of storage space and a comfortable bed (two singles pushed together to make a double). Lovely breakfast and it was delightful to go up onto the roof terrace to soak up the...

This was the first hotel we stayed in in Florence --- 30 years ago. It is a small B&B in a stunning location looking down on the Ponte Vechio w/in walking distance of all the A-list florentine sites. We were a little concerned that it might have become worn and tattered, but we were delighted that the charm was still...

Staying in Uffizi

Neighbourhood Profile
Uffizi
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
