Location is ideal. Only drawback would be if mobility challenged, as most rooms are up a flight of stairs after the little elevator. But if mobility challenged in Florence, this hotel is e least of your worries!

We stayed here over a weekend in September, and due to its very central location, thought it would be a loud hotel. It wasn't! Our room was on the ground level and it was very quiet. We loved how large the room was as well - lots of storage and room to move around. The high ceilings were also lovely...

7 min walk from the SNM station, not bad with luggage, a few cobblestones. The Duomo is literally around the corner. Location was unbeatable, easy walk for everything we wanted to see. Front desk was super responsive to e-mail questions and helped set-up museum reservations and day trips. Breakfast was very nice, included omelettes and crepes on request. Room was...

First, the location could not have been better. A short block from city center with Duomo, restaurants and shopping. Second, after staying in nine other hotels throughout Italy, this was the best shower. It was nothing spectacular but large enough to move around in and very clean. Staff was helpful. Breakfast was good but sort of inconvenient. It was on...

Due to a hotel reservation error by Expedia and the company's attempt to place us in a hotel inferior to the one we initially booked, we finally agreed on Relais Hotel Centrale only after we read the Tripadvisor reviews. There are several categories of rooms at the Centrale and we were fortunate enough to stay in the Junior Suite which...

Forget the car; don't bother with the bus; just put on your walking shoes and go! Everything is close by including shops, cafes, museums and galleries. The front desk people are very helpful and friendly. They have great suggestions of where to go for anything. Yes, the rooms are a bit small but they are clean and contain all the...

We stayed at the Centrale for 5 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The reception staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly at all times. Our 'classic' double room was very comfortable. Upgrades to 'superior' double or 'suite' would normally be available but as they were full for the entire five days we were unable to change. No worries: the room...
