We stayed in this hotel with my family for one week.

The hotel is situated 2 tramstops away from the city, 4 stops with the bus or 20 minutes walking.
You can also rent a bike or a electronic city scooter where you pay by the minute.

We stayed in a family connected room. Rooms were spacious, one is a bit bigger then the other. Both rooms had a shower and bath.

There was a problem with one of the rooms and the people at reception changed our rooms the day after, They are very friendly and helpful. They also recommended us places where we could do our mandatory covid test so we could return home.

Big con is the garage. It is €25 per day and the garage is actually a cellar that they converted into a small garage with very little parking spaces. I think around 6 spaces and they were all extremely narrow. We have a big car so it was a challenge for us everytime to fit our car into the designated parking space.

You have a couple of small restaurants around the hotel aswell as a carrefour supermarket and a “do it yourself” laundry place which was very convenient for us as a family.

Restaurants i would recommend is the “ Illusion club “, it’s a restaurant with music and lights. Very cozy and nice atmosphere!

Another restaurant close by is “Gamberini” we went here for breakfast and afternoon tea but they also serve lunch and diner. The service is amazing and so is the food and coffee.

Our hotel room was very small, which has nothing to do with the service. It’s just big enough for two people. The bathroom; however, is big enough for 1 average size person. If you’re on the husky side, you’re not fitting between the shower doors. No shower for you. The shower water would alternate between being warm and cold. So you had to set the temperature that would not scald you when it was warm or freeze when it was cold. Our room included a free American breakfast buffet that featured scrambled eggs, pancetta, and beans. There are other buffet items including a salad, bread items, and fruit. While it was free, it was the same food every day. Front desk staff was great. They spoke good English. Bar staff was almost non-existent so getting a drink in the bar was hit or miss. Hotel is close to a tram and bus stops, but is a long walk to town. Maybe having a small room was the luck of the draw and there are better rooms in the hotel. For us the hotel room was serviceable, but there are probably better options.

I stayed in this hotel two nights from 17 -19 June 2022 and paid € 1,288.60, very expensive rate for a suite. I thought, with such a high rate hotel will provide me excellent quality not only for the room but also other services. However, it wasn’t the case. Room had mosquitos – my sleep was disturbed – a photo with mosquito is attached. Breakfast was basic (at extra cost on top of the room rate), comparatively not at par with the variety and quality received in a hotel at less than half of the room rate at Mestre (to visit Venice) in the same week. And therefore, I would say that staying in this hotel at the rate € 1,288.60 paid by me for 2 nights does not provide value for money. All other things were reasonably good. Hotel was clean, staffs were cooperative and the location is good to visit tourist attractions in Florence.

Good value, good for a night if you’re passing through town. The website gives the impression that it’s close to the train station but it is in fact a good 15 minute walk. Alternatively just one tram stop away and the tram is a few steps away from the front door. It’s 20-25 minutes to walk to the Ponte Vecchio. The hotel is dark, cool and brown so doesn’t have a lot of charm. Saying that, it’s clean and quiet and the staff on the front desk are extremely friendly, welcoming and professional.

Our room was a decent size and was well appointed. We paid a few more euros for a deluxe room but there wasn’t much that was luxurious about it. One thing we were very grateful for was the excellent glazing on the windows that kept the room nice and quiet. And this on the night of the Italian win in the European football cup with hundreds of cars honking horns on the double carriage road outside!

Breakfast was good, offering a wide array of food including cakes

Stayed here for 5 nights and could have done more, Rome is such a magical place and the hotel was wonderful in all and every way. It was a very short maybe 5 min walk to the square of St. Peters so excellent location, reservation had breakfast included and it was very filling and options and varieties. All around amazon.

The hotel is basic but clean and convenient to the train station. It’s on a busy street, but the windows are well insulated and traffic noise is minimal. It appears to cater to bus tour groups. There is no concierge and very limited staff. The front desk staff was very young and had no information about area restaurants or public transportation options. The breakfast was fine and the staff in that area worked very hard. Not a good choice of accommodation if you are looking for any insights or ideas or recommendations about Florence. 30-45 minute walk to historic center of town.

They cancelled my booking one day before arrival.
They are using the argument, that my credit card was not valid. However, it works fine for my other seven bookings. Magically, they sold out 15 minutes after they cancelled my booking without any notice.
I booked early in spring to a much lower price, so it is not difficult to imagine that they simply used a declined credit card as a bad excuse for cancelling a lower priced booking. So be careful to book this hotel in advance - they are simply a scam!
Luckily, I found another hotel that thinks my credit card is all fine...

We stayed for 2 nights at the end of September. It's a great location only about 15 minutes walk from the heart of the city along the river and the train station, although you are right next to the end tram stop if you prefer not to walk.

We didn't have breakfast as knew there would be many places to eat out locally or use any of the hotel facilities but it was perfectly adequate for what we needed. The room did seem a little tired but for what we paid it was fine.

Stayed one night.

Was welcomed by the front desk team. They took my bag as I had to pop out.

Returned late in the evening, the room. On level 4 was amazing. It was around d 30m2 with a lounge area and amazing views.

The room was clean and warm (in Jan). Really powerful shower, clean and crisp bathroom.

A decent selection of pillows with a "pillow menu", had the most amazing night

Breakfast was lovely with a great selection and service with a smile.

Will be returning on my next trip

Thank you

We did not plan to go to the Starhotels Michelangelo in Florence, but we stayed for a night due a cancelled flight. The hotel is really clean, up-to-date, and well placed near Firenze's historic center. The food served by their kitchen was also really good and pleasantly served by professional staff. Severio stood out during our dinner as funny, professional, and making our experience enjoyable. The front desk staff, Rita and Simone, were also excellent and very patient in helping us relocate a misplaced piece of luggage. They kindly assisted us in communicating with a local transport company and ensured our property was returned. Overall, a great stay at the Michelangelo, certainly because of the wonderful staff. Highly recommend!!!
