Hotel Executive is walkable from the Railroad Station and near many rental car offices. You can get to the Uffizi and Ponte Vecchio in about 20 minutes. There's a little market up the street and lots of restaurants. Very helpful staff, clean rooms. Good breakfast Overall, a good base from which to visit Firenze. P

Dear Guest, Thank you so much for your so positive comments. In fact some of our rooms are reachable only by stairways (we could not build any elevator in our "Terrazzino Reale" historical palace), any note in case of wheelchair accessible room is always recommended and appreciated. And, as you wrote, we will try to do of our best for...

Dear Guest, Thank you so much for sharing your Florence experience with us! Unfortunately our hotel has no private parking, but as you wrote it is really common in city centre. We have a co-operation with 2 different private garages and they give a good service. Thank you again, hope to see you soon in Florence! Warmest regards Riccardo Cacioli,...

The location of this hotel is good. It is a 10min walk to the train station and to the heart of Florence. The room was good sized and very clean. Breakfast was rich. The service was average; the first day we had glasses to drink but not the other three days. We had bath robes but no slippers! Shampoo but...

Good location, about 5 minutes walk from SMN train station. Although the sidewalk are quite narrow/cobble stone roads, so bigger luggage require some work. Within half an hour walk to city center and all the tourist spot. We didn't need to take a ride on public transportation once during our 3 day stay. Quite a few restaurants around too. We...

Hotel Executive is nicely located, easily accessible with the car (garage at few steps), a nice short walk to all the sights, really clean and tidy with great comfortable beds, but that is not what makes it really special... This hotel will always be my 1st choice in terms of Firenze and Toscana because of the people that work there....

Staying in Santa Maria Novella

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Maria Novella
Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
