Positives: Good location - reception were helpful and booked restaurants for us. Negatives: The Beds are ridiculously hard - quite possibly the hardest beds i have ever slept on. The rooms are unremarkable. Bathroom was ok. Breakfast consists of a buffet with ham, salami, cheese, some fruit, weird tasting croissants (definitely not fresh), an automatic coffee machine. There were some...

Took advice from other Tripadvisors and booked this hotel for short 3 day gallery visiting stay. Excellent all round, clean, modern, adequate breakfast, bed linen changed daily. Wonderful location 150m from Duomo. Can easily walk anywhere.

We booked one night at Laurus as it stood out for good quality, price and positive reviews. The hotel is within waling distance from all the historic sites as well as the main train station. It is safe to say location is its strongest argument. We got there by car and used a parking garage service suggested by the concierge....

The hotel was right in the centre of activity in Florence and also only a short walk from the train station. All the well known fashion shops and tourist destinationswere close by and the whole area just had a nice feel to it. The immaculate room appeared to have been recently refurbished, it had a lovely warm wooden floor and...

My girlfriend and I visited Florence for three nights in February, for a romantic, sight-seeing break. Hotel Laurus was ideally located in the centre of town (seconds away from the Duomo, shops, restaurants and market square). The room was adequately sized, very clean, with modern furniture and shower/bathroom facilities, LCD TV (international channels), safe and air conditioning. Our only suggestion...

I couldn't be happier with my stay at the Laurus. I usually stay at 5 star hotels but figured I'd try the Laurus because it was so close to the city center. I'm so glad I did! First of all the service was five star. I came in at 7am asking if I could leave my bag and come back...

This is jtust a block down from the Duomo, putting you at the center of Florence. Even though the location is central, they did some kind of miracles with the windows that ensure absolute silence unless you open them! Our rooms had great views. The breakfasts are great for Americans. And, whenever we had a question, we got a prompt,...

The hotel is located in the centre of town close to the Duomo. The service was good, particularly at the bar in the evening, and everything worked well. Only negative is that the rooms are rather small (typically european) and the bed rather hard.
