My family of 3 adults spent 3 fabulous nights in Florence and the hotel of our choice had been Gioia. The hotel occupies one whole building (not large) and the location is superb - no more than 5 minutes on foot from the Duomo. Infact, if you get the 3rd floor room overlooking Via Cavour you even get your private... More

We recently stayed at the Hotel Gioia Florence early October 2016 and had the most amazing experience. This is a gem of a find in the Florence area that is just far enough away from the noise but still walking distance to any sights and wonderful restaurants. Highly recommend! We stayed 2 weeks all over Italy and in hotels, AirBnb's... More

The Hotel Golia is a great place to stay in Florence. The staff is friendly and extremely accommodating. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The location was great and close to all of the sites. Breakfast every morning with wonderful coffee made to order and as many as you wanted. We were able to also use the small sitting room... More

the hotel is centrally located, very convenient, close to major attractions. the hotel is small, quaint, like an older house. The ambiance is very pleasant. The cappucinos made by the dad or older genteman, are out of this world. dont forget to tip him though.

Had some great conversations with the staff, Tiziano, Roberto etc. the hotel is five minutes walk to the duomo, and ten minutes to the train station, highly recommended and felt sad to leave after nearly a week there.

The location is about 5 min walk away from Duomo. Like you, I thought this might be too 'far' from Duomo, as there were some other options that were closer to Duomo and more expensive because of it. But once I got here I realised there isn't really not that much difference. You walk 5 min maximum and if that... More

Hotel Gioia is in a fantastic location, within easy walking distance to all the main attractions in Florence. The decor is a little bit dated but the hotel and rooms are spotlessly clean. The real highlight of this hotel is the staff. They are always smiling and are so helpful and attentive. My sister hurt her back while we were... More

The hotel is perfect located for a sightseeing trip in Florence. The hotel isn't new but clean. The breakfast was small but enough. The employees of the hotel were so nice and helpful! My mum and I felt very comfortable and we would come back without any doubt. Grazie e rivedere!

i stayed recently for 3 nights at the Gioia while on a short break with a friend to Florence. Before travelling we emailed the hotel and they sent us walking directions (about 15 mins) from the bus/traIn stations which was very helpful. This hotel is really homely and pristinely clean. Some might call the decor a bit dated but I... More
