Ville Sull'Arno stands out for its exceptional service, with guests commending the friendly, attentive staff, and useful concierge and shuttle services. Nestled in a picturesque setting, the hotel offers scenic river views and a tranquil atmosphere, enhanced by traditional decor. While some guests find the value debatable due to pricey extras, the spacious and immaculate rooms alongside luxurious amenities like the serene pool and spa are frequently lauded. The shuttle service's convenience is a recurrent theme, despite occasional remarks about the need for mattress updates and noise issues.

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights with our 2 daughters in a very comfortable spacious room overlooking the Arno river. The room is and hotel are designed in a lovely Florentine style, everything was clean and well maintained, bathrooms were spotless with a walk in shower and a bath with shower which was really convenient for the girls. We received a very warm welcome, candy treats and refreshing water is always available at the reception. Location was pleasantly surprising. It is located on the banks of the Arno river but outside the old centre which was surprisingly convenient. A shuttle free of charge is available almost all day, to and from the old city centre and we used it all the time. It was super comfortable. Bicycles are also available free of charge and we rode al the way to Ponte Vecchio along the river which was absolutely fun! the hotel is well staffed and they were always kind and warm and ready to hep with anything. Breakfast was served in a lovely decorated restaurant with a large variety to choose from and all fresh and delicious. The facilities are just great! there is a beautiful outdoor pool and the best heated indoor pool which was so relaxing and fun especially on days we wanted to take it easier and even more so on a rainy day. Overall, great hotel, was such a surprise especially as we all tend to go for centrally located hotels but this was the best choice we made. Super hotel especially for families I think but not only. Definitely coming back here! Highly recommended.

We visited Florence back in November to celebrate my partners 40th Birthday and after a lot of research choose the Ville Sul Arno Hotel and what a treat it was.
This property is BEAUTIFUL!
The location is peaceful and with all the services offered by the hotel (transfer to the centre and free bike hire) it’s extremely easy to reach the centre, we even enjoyed the walk along the river.
The overall service was superb, every member of staff made a positive lasting impression and can’t do enough for you, they even offer concierge assistance via ‘What’s App!’
Our room was a junior suite with Hot Tub, the rooms is decorated amazingly and it was always spotless. The Hot Tub was a bonus and would highly recommend, all just added to making our stay extra special.
The entire facilities of the property just blew us away from the shuttle service, bike hire, use of the stunning spa and a delicious, well offered breakfast every morning.
It’s clear to say we loved our stay here, and would return in a heartbeat! Have also now looked into there other properties too.
(Florence itself is a beautiful place and the wine is certainly my favourite from this area.)

We spent 9 days at the Ville sull'Arno. We selected the hotel for its great location: its only 2km from the city center (5-10 minute taxi ride to the city), so it is easy for sightseeing. The hotel is right at the Arno river, which makes it a great location for a morning run or a bike ride (you can get bikes at the hotel). Furthermore it is only 2km from the highway, i.e. trips to Tuscany /Chianti / San Gimignano etc. are very fast and convenient. The hotel staff was very helpful, friendly and service-oriented "with a smile" all the time. The rooms are not very large but good enough for 3 people (we had a teenage daughter) and clean. Although the hotel is close to the river, there were hardly any mosquitos, flies etc. The breakfast buffet offers everything you desire. If you have dinner at the restaurant, you need to try the buffola caprese. Its the best we ever had. A great stay! However all the great amenities come at a price, especially during the summer holiday season.

Although supposedly 5 star, it was only really elements of the service, or maybe the drinks making facilities in the room (which are rare in Italy!) that set this hotel apart from 4 or even some 3 stars I’ve stayed in. While the room was tastefully furnished with quality materials, it was too small to hold a wardrobe (just an exposed hanging rail), and didn’t have a proper writing desk or dressing table. It had a decent enough shower but not the bath I’d requested and hoped for. The room was dark even in the middle of a sunny day. The view was of an apartment block and the busy main road but thankfully the windows were well enough insulated for the noise not to be too intrusive.

The restaurant had an interesting dinner menu and beautifully presented plates, but some of the food was a little on the tough side for me. One of the staff didn't bother to pick his feet up as he walked (sorry one of my pet hates!) which was a little off-putting (again, in a 5 star establishment?!) Although cosy, the restaurant seemed a bit too small and stressful for the breakfast peak (particularly if you were in a group of more than two).

The hotel welcomes dogs which was pleasant and unobtrusive enough, until a distressed dog was left in the room next to mine. The spa was one of the reasons I chose the hotel and it's well equipped, although the indoor pool is definitely only good for relaxing, not swimming in. The treatment room is a quiet, beautiful, relaxing space. From the hotel, it is quite a walk into the city centre, but the route is flat and runs alongside the river, so not completely unpleasant. All things considered though, I would not bother to spend all the extra money again, and go for one of the cheaper options I found closer to the city centre. (Also note: the taxi ordered for me by the hotel cost more than double what it cost me to get my own taxi for exactly the same reversed journey from the station).

My wife and I came here on the first week of our honeymoon July 2019.
Even after lost luggage, delayed connecting flights and unsettling airport food - the moment we walked into Ville sull'Arno all the stress melted away.
The buffet breakfast is AMAZING and quite special for Italy considering their idea of breakfast is espresso and a cigarette. Dinner here is also quite special and worth treating yourself to if you've inexplicably grown tired of wandering the city enjoying the food and drink.
The pool is incredible provided there are no children splashing around.
The wellness centre in the lower level of the main building is literal heaven and chances are you will be in there alone since no other guests seem to know about.

A/C was pumping in the sumptuously comfortable room and kept us cool during the early July heat wave. The shower was INCREDIBLE and had us dreaming of a bathroom remodel when we got home.
The balcony overlooking the river was lovely and, despite some other grumpy reviews on here, you CANNOT hear the music across the water or the cars on the street outside.

We have already sworn to return to Ville sull'Arno as soon as we can. The rest of our trip was spent wishing we'd just stayed at this hotel.

Wow, we picked this hotel as we thought it looked beautiful and had a real Italian feel but it far exceed our expectations, what a find and what a gem. From the moment we arrived we felt at home and comfortable, all the staff are so lovely, welcoming and helpful. This hotel is 5 star plus plus plus. My pictures will not do the hotel justice you will just have to book and go see for yourself. The room was spacious and comfortable, we booked an executive room that over looked the river. We thought we had booked a twin but when we got there is was a double, the hotel did try to move us but there were no other twins available, however the beds where huge so it didn't really matter and the pillows were so soft and comfortable. We have a large bathroom room, a seating area, tea and coffee making facilities along with a safe and mini bar in a little cupboard and all the toiletries provided in the bathroom along with a little amenity kit. Breakfast was included and there was a huge choice which we enjoy out on the terrace by the pool, a real treat having come for a dull and rainy UK. The hotel bar was very welcoming, the whole hotel was just gorgeous. We didn't get a chance to use the spa but went down for an explore and just like the rest of the hotel it is top notch. There is a free shuttle bus running throughout the day to get you to the city but if you need a cab the hotel will call and it is around 15 euros. We were there from Friday night till late Monday and we had an amazing time both at the hotel and visiting the beautiful city of Florence. A mini break with a large wow factor. You have to go.

It is a beautiful hotel decorated with great taste, very clean and the whole staff is wonderful. Some rooms, like the one we had, overlooks the Arno river.
The buffet breakfast is very nice and everything is fresh. They also have a sauna, steam bath and a hydro massage pool. There is also a spa with beauty treatments and massages. It is not far from the center. We walked in 20 minutes and there is a free shuttle a couple of times a day in each direction.
Really a very nice place to stay...

We have recently had a wonderful six night stay here. We received a very warm welcome after our journey from Rome and were permitted to pause the check in process as our sons were both so hungry and hungry wanted to eat at the restaurant before the lunch service ended.

We resumed check in which was smooth and informative as this was our first time at the hotel and in Florence.

We were shown to our room and we were extremely impressed with the size and decor, the river view was the icing on the cake! The room was spotlessly clean on checking and and maintained like this throughout our stay. The housekeeping team are like fairies, you don’t see many of them but they are constantly working their magic to keep the whole property so clean.

We enjoyed dipping in and out of Florence and surrounding areas in Tuscany, however we were always grateful to return to the tranquility of the hotel that’s just outside the centre.

Breakfast was very impressive and honestly one of the best we have experienced in Europe. The quality of all of the food and drinks is outstanding.

The lovely restaurant team lead by the manager Francesco who’s a real gentleman are so kind welcoming and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. We dined three times at Flora E Fauno during our stay, once for lunch and twice for dinner, we enjoyed the hospitality and were so grateful for the flexibility provided for us as vegetarians and for our sons who are both autistic.

We took advantage of the bikes included as part of the stay and as a family it is one of our highlights from our holiday in Italy, cycling together along the riverside.

The pool space is lovely and perfect to cool down after a busy day in the sunshine. The only negative, which is absolutely nothing to do with the hotel was the behaviour of some of the children there, who’s parents clearly didn’t care what they were up to or the fact that they may well be disturbing other guests!

We’d to thank all of you on the front desk team for always patiently helping us with our queries and restaurant reservations.

We just wanted to say a huge thank you to each and every member of this close knit team from front desk to restaurant and bar staff for being so lovely and making our first visit to Florence such a lovely one! We can’t wait to return!!

Really loved our stay at ville sul Arno. The hotel is really nicely decorated, the staff were very friendly and efficient and they were very kind to offer us many off menu vegan meal options for breakfast and dinner. The spa was great bonus too as was the free shuttle into the city. We’ll definitely be back to stay.

We booked the hotel for 5 nights to attend a wedding in Florence, we travelled with two children aged 10 and 12. The children were impressed on arrival with the sweets in reception. The hotel is beautifully clean and the staff go above and beyond to be helpful. We were there during a taxi strike and needed to get to a wedding - the staff kept on phoning to book taxis for us and secured our bookings, we could not get through to the taxi companies at all so we were really grateful for this help. All the reception staff were really helpful.

The two pools are lovely and clean, we made good use of them. The restaurant and pool bar is always open. Breakfast is varied and no one is rushed to leave. The view is also lovely on the river side, we had a family suite and it was kept lovely and clean and the beds are very comfortable. The photos on the website do not do this hotel justice, it is very pretty.

We would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family and return here in the future.

Dear Sian, thnk you for choosing our Hotel for your next visit in Florence. From Pisa airport you can catch a taxi and it costs around € 150,00 - 170,00. Otherwise you can get a shuttle train from Pisa airport to Pisa Central Stattion and from there a train to Santa Maria Novella Station in Florence.
