Hotel Atlantic Palace is an excellent choice to stay in Florence. Hotel very well located, clean, without luxuries but with everything you need to feel comfortable. Reception staff very friendly and professional. We asked for a quiet room and stayed in an absolutely quiet room where there was no noise. Room service works very well and the room is very clean and tidy. Excellent breakfast. We were surprised by the variety of bread, croissants, cakes, juices and cold cuts available. This hotel is worth all the money it costs! Congratulations to the whole team.

We stayed at the Atlantic Palace for 3 nights, in June, in one of the 'small' doubles which was more than adequate for our needs.

If you've got lots of luggage and are travelling by train, the Atlantic is perfect - it's a 7 minute walk and very easy to find. Once you've dropped your bags, it's a 5 min walk into the centre of historic Florence, probably about 15 mins' slow walk to the Ponte Veccio.

The hotel is quiet, clean, and the room lovely - the air con was great and very much needed in the Florence heat.

I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed for just one night on multi stop tour of Tuscany. Given our time over again we would have stayed for all five nights. The location is fantastic, 5 min walk from the railway station, 5 mins walk to the Duomo. The room (178) was oldy worldy but that's what you want in an historic city. The breakfast was excellent. We loved this place, staff were ever so friendly and helpful, check-in was great, bags were taken up to our room. Please do not believe the poor reviews.
On or honeymoon 27 years ago we stayed at the Hotel Berchielli on the banks of the River Arno and paid 3 times what we paid here, the Atlantic Palace felt much more comfortable and inviting.
It is on a very busy road but the location and value for money is exceptional.

Very small room, very tight for 2 people
Small wardrobes, bathroom is very basic.
Near the train station but hard to walk with bags, so we took a taxi
Breakfast was very basic, eggs and bacon were too close together, so we didn’t have any.
Staff are friendly
Lots of places to eat nearby
Also a nice market to buy leather and other things
Walking distance to most attractions

We were forced into selecting a hotel in Firenze when our flight was cancelled. The only few options available was the Atlantic Palace at €390. We selected the hotel because it was 4 star and was supposed to include breakfast. Not only was the hotel expensive, but it didn’t even provide lotions, soap, towels (only 2) and DID NOT include breakfast. When we looked at the breakfast the next day for €15 we saw a lame continental breakfast, watery eggs and no place clean to sit. The room was small, no convenient plugs to charge our phones and the room looked out on a loud alleyway. I’ve lodged at many hotels and this one takes the cake! Don’t stay here!

My husband and I stayed for three nights for my 60th birthday. When booking Tui advised us the room would be small and basic but located central in the town. The staff were very helpful and it was ideally located for all the site seeing people generally go to see . The room was small but that was fine for the short time we were there , however the bathroom could do with updating , the shower leaked and as you can see from our photos black was appearing where constantly getting wet . I must stress we didn't complain and therefore didn't give the hotel the opportunity to possibly give us another room.
Breakfast was sufficient.
Location ideal for the tram T2 to and from the airport , so easy wish we had more tram networks like this on England .

The room was advertised as deluxe and was far from. It was small, dark and very basic, something you would expect in a 3*. The window had privacy screening as we were facing a balcony with seating. The rooms in the other photo reviews look lovely, this was definitely not ours.
The staff on reception were not helpful, we requested (on booking) a twin room but were told on arrival that none were available. After discussion with the provider the hotel did provide a twin room (probably why we got the room we we given). We subsequently booked a different hotel and checked out.
At check out the reception staff were less than apologetic, discussing us in Italian, causing an uncomfortable situation. I do understand a little Italian and can only advise the hotel reception staff not to assume the customer does not understand what they are saying.

We read a lot about different hotel in the city center, so we saw that this hotel had good reviews and we decided to go there for one night.
The first is they do not have parking place so you have to pay extra 45 euros.
They gave us inmediatly our room, the hotel is very very old, of course in firenze I think all hotels are, so we find nice to stay in a place like this until.... we have to slep, was clean, the bathroom was tiny but fine, but the bed OMG, I did not have slept in my whole life in a bed to bad like this, was incredible unconfortable, and make horrible noise just if you want turn around, catastrofic. At night we could not sleep because at the main streer was a truck cleaning the drain and they were loud until night late. So in the morning thanks god we spent just one night we took the breakfast that was very basic bret and coffe, some croassaint and jam and some cheese and ham that is all, we spent more for the 4 star hotel

We booked a trip to Florence and booked this hotel in June, booking directly and having a confirmation. We arrived in Italy and as the taxi dropped us off with our bags we noticed the hotel was boarded and chained up.
No one had even tried to contact us, no one was answering the phone. We had to find another hotel round the corner who informed us that this hotel has been closed for months!!! Do not book or trust. It was an awful situation to be in and still now you can't get hold of anyone

We enjoyed a 3-night stay at the Atlantic Palace Hotel in January 2023. After a disappointing experience with a 4-star hotel in Tenerife, my expectations were not high; however I was pleasantly surprised.

The room was spacious and clean with lovely exposed beams and a large bathroom. The lobby was bright with plenty of seating, and we received a warm welcome.

The carpet was being relaid on the second floor, which is where our room was, but this was a minor inconvenience.

The hotel itself is centrally located, minutes from the Santa Maria Novella station and just round the corner from the Mercato Centrale. The Duomo and Ponte Vecchio are just 10 or 15 minutes walk beyond that.

Overall, we were very happy with both our stay and the cost of the room. When we return to Florence, we will stay at the Atlantic Palace again.

Not sure how far it is from the airport. We were using the train for transportation back to Rome. This hotel is just a few blocks from the train station in Florence.
