The Bernini palace hotel in Florence is location, location. We stayed for 3 nights over the weekend.Unfortunately the great location was noisy each night and the Friday night noise on the street did not cease until about 5 am. The room itself was really nice, very clean and decorated beautifully. The bathroom was large and had a lovely soaking bath....

Immaculate hotel, situated perfectly in the centre of cultural attractions. The bar service in particular is excellent. I recommend afternoon coffee, even if not a resident. At 10€ for 2 including biscuit selection it's a perfect retreat away from the crowds.

After visiting Versailles, this place was like a dream come true. And I got to blow my savings on it. Weeeeeee First off: this is one place you go for looks. Service is great too but it is all about looks. It is 350 euros a night, it is expensive and it's absolutely fantastic. You have a key to your...

Just returned from a lovely 4 night stay at The Bernini Palace Hotel. The location is superb, our room looked onto the back of the Palazzo Vechio and Piazza Di San Firenze. so it's seconds from Piazza della Signoria, the Uffizi, the River Arno and (the amazing) Bargello museum. Everything is easily reachable on foot and so also when you...

When we walked in, the hotel seemed a bit austere but we were greeted warmly at the reception and had a wonderful stay from that moment on. The dining room is stunningly beautiful and the breakfast buffet offered a large array of choices. The bar in the lobby was a great way to end our day. The room was spacious,...

In November , I stayed for three nights at the Bernini Palace Florence. I am exceptionally well traveled and have stayed in over 75 countries staying at many world class properties. On all aspects this property rates in the top tier !! Beautifully appointed, maintaining the charm of the building but with contemporary infrastructure needed by discerning travelers. Good size...

Not sure you can get a better location. You are in the middle of the action, close to the Palazzo Vecchio and the Uffizi, a short walk to the Duomo or to restaurants on the river. We had a room on the Tuscan floor. Very luxurious and large but no view and reduced light from outside as the windows open...

The location of the hotel was a real highlight within walking distance of everything. A great little bar in the fouyer is worth a drink. Rooms were small but very clean, although we noticed someone had been smoking in the room prior. We were not allocated adjoining rooms for the kids although this did not matter much. Staff were friendly...

Could not beat the location of this hotel - Our window looked right at the Palazzo Vecchio! Minutes via walking to ALL the major sites. Wonderful little coffee shop right across the street. Rooms were very nice. Would not eat breakfast here - go across the street for coffee and breakfast. Bar was not happening while we were there. Upon...

This is not your standard Marriott Hotel, and thank God for that! Bernini Palace has it's own charming Italian style with it's twisted dark corridors and unique decor. We had a lovely and very spacious room on the executive Tuscan floor, but do not expect a lot of daylight - rooms are facing very narrow inner court. The location is...

Neighbourhood Profile
Uffizi
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Originally a 15th century “Palazzo”, the Hotel Bernini is built according to the Classic Florentine architectural style, with string-course cornices along the walls and wooden shutters giving it a charming antique flavor. The Bernini Palace is located in Florence’s historic center, right behind Piazza della Signoria - just a stone’s throw from the Uffizi and Florence’s main historical attractions. The rooms are 74, Classic, Superior, Deluxe, Junior Suite and Suite, all are fitted out with the best, most up-to-date mod-cons and still preserve the charm of the past. The Tuscan Floor is reminiscent of old world Tuscan colours and themes, very warm and inviting. The new restaurant La Chiostrina is located in a historical courtyard of the hotel, it is the ideal place for delicious gastronimic specialities in Florence, its versatility makes it an excellent restaurant offering an innovative menu. A full breakfast is served in the magnificent Sala Parlamento (complete with a splendid frescoed ceiling) formerly a meeting place for members of Parliament and Senators of the Kingdom of Italy ... more   less
