The B&B Hotel Firenze Pitti Palace al Ponte Vecchio is often celebrated for its historical charm and prime location near the iconic Ponte Vecchio. Guests have called out the cleanliness of the rooms and the panoramic terrace as highlights, alongside the hotel's friendly service. However, some visitors suggest that the rooms could benefit from updates and better noise insulation. While opinions on value for money vary, the central positioning and the professional staff are frequently acknowledged as significant positives.

The hotel was amazing from the moment we booked our stay, which included 4 rooms with 6 adults and a toddler. They ensured we had a portable crib with pillow and sheet so our toddler had her own space. I emailed a couple of times with questions as we were coming from Venice and would be arriving at the train station- on NYE, which was already a festive time. The staff were so helpful during those communications. They also helped us call a cab so we get get back to the train for our next destination.

Since it was NYE and right at Ponte Vecchio, it was very loud that into the early morning. However, we did not mind as we were able to sit and look out our window at random drum lines and marching bands. Made for a memorable experience without having to be out in the rain.

It is located in the main town with all lots of shops, restaurants, snd attractions all walk to within minutes Great breakfast. The bathroom shower was terrible and tiny. No shelf for soap/shampoo etc. No towel bars either. Otherwise I would stay again.

The B&B HOTEL Firenze Pitti Palace at Ponte Vecchio is simply extraordinary! Located just a few steps from the famous Ponte Vecchio, this hotel is the ideal starting point for exploring the wonders of Florence. The location is perfect, nestled in the historic heart of the city, with easy access to all major attractions such as Palazzo Pitti, the Uffizi and the Duomo.

The rooms are elegant, spacious and attention to detail, offering absolute comfort. The panoramic terrace is very popular, from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the city and its monuments. It is the perfect place to enjoy a delicious breakfast or just relax after a day of sightseeing.

The staff is extremely friendly and professional, always ready to welcome with a smile and to satisfy every request. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxing, making you feel immediately at home.

I highly recommend the B&B HOTEL Firenze Pitti Palace al Ponte Vecchio to anyone who wants to live an authentic and unforgettable experience in the heart of Florence. A stay here is the best way to enjoy all the charm of this wonderful city!

Pitti Palace is situated in a great location to explore the city of Florence - it`s literally yards away from Ponte Vecchio Bridge. You can walk around the city to see the major sites and even the bus / train station is not too far if you decide to take a trip to see Pisa , Siena etc. The service and staff cannot be faulted but the room we stayed in leaves a lot to be desired. The bathroom is extremely small and there is a shower over the bath with a curtain to keep water escaping. Much like the 1980s and not the 2020s. Also , the breakfast area really needs a rethink and some modernisation.

Dear Herbey79, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed our great location, just steps from the Ponte Vecchio, and that you found our staff and service satisfactory. However, we apologize for the room and bathroom not meeting your expectations. Your comments about the bathroom and the breakfast area are noted, and we will certainly look into making improvements to enhance the guest experience. We truly appreciate your suggestions and hope to welcome you back in the future. Best regards,

This is the worst hotel we've ever made. The rooms are small, dirty, old, out of age. Soundproofing is non-existent, we heard both the discussions of our room neighbors and the people on the street.
There is mold everywhere in the bathroom, furniture is burned or broken, just like the doors, the shower curtain is pierced, yellow, the tap leaks. We even found a cherry tail on the bathroom floor which allows us to imagine the overall level of hygiene and cleaning!

The fact that the period is touristic and the hotel is full cannot excuse such a lack of service, especially at 260 euros a night. I always rely on the comments but I do not understand the positive comments except on the location. I even wondered if the comments were genuine.
I also sent an unanswered complaint e-mail, a shame when you trust an international hotel chain by saying that you risk "nothing".

We stayed the previous 2 days at the B&B Laurus el Duomo and although the hotel is also old, everything went very well and the hotel was clean. It is therefore not a problem of hotel range or seniority of the hotel but rather a HUGE problem of maintenance and hygiene. Simply catastrophic, shameful, run away!

Sorry to do such reviews, but this time I can't help it. We returned to this hotel after 2 years and noticed considerable deterioration in the cleanliness, furnishings and state of disrepair of the rooms. Dirty and peeling walls; bathroom with bathtub, taps and mirror really indecent. Uncomfortable beds, with mattresses that make the hole where you sleep, air conditioners not very functional and very noisy. The carpet in the corridors was also stained or damaged in some places.
Nothing to object to the kindness and helpfulness of the reception staff, restaurant and bar.
The cleaning of the room very superficial, on arrival we found hair and hair on the mattress, dirt and dust that remained with us throughout the stay.
Too bad, because the location is really great and from a 4 star you always expect something that in this case was not respected. Sometimes even in the 3 stars is better.

We stayed in Florence for 4 nights at this hotel for our honeymoon. Excellent and strategic location, shame about the rest... the service offered is not 4 star. Dated hotel: dirty carpet in the corridors with several stains, elevator also dated, dirty and smelly! Our room was spacious but the water did not drain from the tub, only towels and no bathrobes, there was no space to put the toiletries, the edge of the tub was coming off and everything was dirty like the shower (you could clearly see that the holes where the water comes out they were black and never cleaned). We had to request slippers in the room and the trash can in the room was emptied once in 4 days!
Let's not talk about the breakfast, super industrial croissants and cakes and generally poor!!
The friendliest staff was definitely the one in the morning at breakfast... For the rest there was room for improvement (on the first day upon arrival our room was not yet available and we asked for a bathroom, they told us that there was a free bathroom on the fifth floor and so we did. There were no hand wipes and seeing the cleaning lady in the corridor I politely ask for some wipes or a towel... The very annoyed lady tells me that she doesn't take care of cleaning that bathroom and gave me a hard time. towel!)

My wife and I stayed here for anniversary trip booked through our travel agent. There are both positives and some negatives to share. First off, the location is excellent as far as being close to the things you will most likely be visiting. Very convenient to come and go throughout the day. But keep in mind that because it is located right next to the Ponte Vecchio bridge it is very crowded area, busy and fairly loud. Our room was on the 5th floor with a balcony overlooking less busy street and was still fairly noisy. That’s just part of the gig being in Florence.

The room was a suite style with an extra room with single bed in addition to our larger double bed. The beds are fairly hard so not sure if that is a deal breaker. Having the extra space was nice to get things unpacked for our 4 night stay. Overall accommodations and bathroom were good. The rooms would have been small if not for the larger room option. They include a breakfast buffet that was sufficient but nothing fancy. Includes all things you need to get your day started.

The front desk staff was nice and would answer any questions you had, but out of all our stays for a two week trip, it felt like they would not go out of their way to assist compared to other hotels we stayed at. Nothing bad to say, but not stand out good either.

You would not want to bring a car here as it is located in the restricted zone and any parking you could find will be expensive. The train station is on the other side of the town, so keep that in mind when thinking of getting to and from during travel days.

Overall it is a fine place to stay, but more of a midrange property and a bit overpriced if not for location.

Great base to get everywhere, so near ponte vecchio and pritti palace. The 4th floor of the hotel needs upgrading as an edge of the wall was falling off , the room was fine but needed decorating as so many scruff marks on the wall, bathroom also needed the grouting looking at and being cleaned lots of black. The towels were beautifully soft, bed great and range of pillows. Most staff were professional and helpful but not overly friendly. The guy with the pony tail was quite abrupt when I arrived and seemd to be more eager to get back to the rear room than check me into the hotel. The breakfast was adequate but in the six days I was the hot food of scambled eggs and sausages didnot change! Cereals and yogurts good and also selection of fresh fruit . Lemon cake was super. Did eat one evening at the hotel restaurant ( its where breakfast is served but think it might be a different company that run the evening 'show') ... Except for two other people the place was deserted... I ordered bean soup which was hardly warm and looked like a bowl of liquidised baby food. Taste was bearable but with so many wonderful restaurants in Florence do not bother in even going to it . But do go for the view as it is amazing. My first morning to look out over the city lifted my spirits and made me excited to go and explore. All in all a great spot and easy to get a bus to the Santa Maria Novella and 10 mins from Pritti Palace... I was happy at the hotel even with the thing mentioned. You could just walk from the hotel to every where.

The name is not misleading: the location ten meters from the beginning of the Ponte Vecchio is simply extraordinary. Very nice room: large, well furnished, bright, comfortable bed, large TV, desk, kettle, safe, air conditioning. Clean and quiet. The bathroom is ugly: spartan, impractical, small, blackened walls and with several pieces of plaster fallen, old bathtub and window (and in addition there was not even toilet paper!). We have not tried the breakfast buffet but the panoramic terrace in which it is served deserves, as well as the shared relaxation area on the first floor. Great price but we were in low season. Very good hotel for anyone but, being a 4 star and with certain rates, you should intervene on the bathrooms and generally improve a little maintenance: done this, just for the location, from a nice place to recommend to those staying in Florence to a real landmark the step could be really short!

Sorry but we did not. We were there end June and stayed in room with shower which was a small corner shower that didn’t give you much room and no shelf to put soap or shampoo. So had to bend down.

From Pisa airport you can take Pismover which goes directly to train station and costs 5eur. Trains to Firenze go often, takes about 1h and I think one way ticket is about 10eur. You can easily purchase ticket in train station automat.

In Florence there nearly NO parking. Park at your Hotel and you can reach all important sites by walking. But my question is too late, I suppose.
