Great location- just steps away from Ponte Vecchio and we could easily walk to most attractions. Breakfast was more substantial than most we'd had in Italy and served on the hotel's rooftop patio, which had a beautiful view. It did get noisy early in the mornings, mostly from the busy street/intersection. Room was clean and comfortable.

Noisy room from street noise. Hotel staff with a disinterested service attitude. Good location. A clothes Iron with frayed electrical cord that is a WH&S disaster waiting to happen. We thought that we may have been tired and cranky from travelling and therefore overly critical. We ate and slept. We weren't mistaken. The front of house staff attitude is far...

Worth the price of admission and tour to see the art treasures and how the rich lived. Put your walking shoes on and be ready to hike to see the gardens. Be sure to visit the tea house. A highlight of the visit.

Elegant hotel, but even from the 5th floor and all windows closed, you would swear people on the street below were right outside. The elevator is overweighted if anyone is already on it when the doors open - take the stairs. Location is great, but the worst aspect of this hotel is the staff. We found Massimo to be unbelievably...

Let's start with the negatives. This is not, in my opinion, a 4-star hotel judged by any criteria (and we have stayed in 2 Venice 4-star hotels which were manifestly much worthier of that ranking). The rooms are not large, furniture and decorations are functional and the bathroom towel rail exudes a huge amount of heat (and seems difficult to...

Location could not be any better. Rooms are adequate with air con. and coffee making equipment, very clean and well serviced. The breakfast balcony and wine bar are very good with breathtaking views all the way round. Mid season it is too hot to use part of it, but go just a little out of season and breakfast turns into...

Good spotlessly clean room. Pretty standard room layout and size. Tv had very few English speaking channels but RAI show films that can be switched to English using the tv settings. Reasonable breakfast selection but cooked was pretty limited. Reception staff very helpful. The location is hard to beat The only downside was thin quite dense pillows that weren't very...

I stayed at this hotel after it was recommended by a Florentine friend. Extremely well located you can walk practically everywhere. Two steps from the Ponte Vecchio, the Uffizi, the Pitti Palace. Shopping is everywhere. The hotel is small but comfortable. Best views are on the fifth floor. Breakfast included. This place is a little gem in a marvelous city.

Staying in Pitti

Neighbourhood Profile
Pitti
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
