We stayed here 14 years ago - the hotel has been renovated since then and was really nice.
We got off the train and got lost straight away. Should have taken a taxi but thought it was only a short walk so set off with some wonderful local instructions in completely the wrong direction (I'm sure he is still laughing about stitching us...More

Location is amazing. Price is reasonable. Room is good enough for spoiled Americans.

This hotel has a great location in the heart of Florence. Our room was very small and there were various minor issues with the door not closing easily, lots of noise until around midnight since we were on the second floor overlooking a very busy...More

Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through
Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.

If flying out of Pisa, you can transfer at Pisa station to a separate train shuttle to the airport for a couple of Euros.
