This hotel has 3 major things going for it: good air conditioning, good location, and good value. Another bonus is excellent cappuccino with breakfast! The hotel is comprised of a number of different rooms, and we can only speak to a junior suite. The room...More

The hotel is very well located near Museum of Academia, where the David statue is.

San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on
Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.

During my many stays at the hotel I've seen someone at the front desk at all times, day & night, and they are right next to/have a clear line of sight to the entrance. Taxi fares from the airport to Florence are fixed rate, thinking it was around 22 euros plus 1 Euro for each bag. Might be a little extra for late night/holiday trips. Be sure to let the hotel know about your expected late arrival.

Sorry I missed this question. There is one but for our room there were still about 7 stairs up to our door so if stairs are a concern be sure to email the hotel to ask for a room that is accessible only by elevator. :)
