From the moment we arrived (and were reassured that it was okay to double park on Via Cavour until the garage picked up the car) the staff at IGB was friendly, courteous and helpful and soothed the stress of arriving in Florence by rental car....More
We stayed for 2 nights in Nov 2011. This hotel is within easy walking distant to the major attractions in Florence. Our room was spacious and clean. I sure wish there was a shower curtain or glass door on the shower because the water got...More
I use a wheelchair and couldn't ask for a more wheelchair accessible hotel. The bathroom was completely wheelchair friendly and they also have an accessible public washroom. The breakfast was great and could find no fault in any service. Will definitely stay at Il Guelfo...More
Stayed several nights here with friends while visiting Florence. This hotel is so cute with a very "homey" feel. As another reviewer explained, all the rooms are unique and furnished with such charm. This hotel is centrally located and is walking distance to the train...More

San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on
Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.

There isn't a garage attached/part of the hotel; however, the hotel has arrangements with what they call a 'partner-garage' for valet parking. You'll need to contact the hotel directly for details, prices, etc. Check their website and send them an email: they will respond. FWIW: I would never consider driving in Florence: too many issues with ZTL's and the fines are hefty. It's an easily walkable city.
