Our first stop on our Honeymoon after our Como wedding- what a way to start the trip. Beautiful setting and warm welcome, we couldn't ask for better hosts. The room was comfortable and spacious, with a gorgeous view of the villa garden next door. All...More
Six wonderful nights in a fantastic city made perfect by 1865. A fabulous place to stay - very well restored with all mod cons. Beautiful building, quirky lift and stunning frescoes ceilings. Only five bedrooms so really like a very exclusive boutique hotel. Ours, like...More
This place has it all - great rooms, large, modern and clean, great breakfasts and good location for walking to most everything. This is a quiet location in a residential area with easy walks to some local restaurants and shops and a nice stroll to...More
In a word: Outstanding. Cinzia and Michel, the owners, hosted us for five wonderful nights in May 2016 at the 1865 Residenza d’epoca. I say “hosted” because we truly felt like pampered guests. Together, they have created a gorgeous and very classy bed and breakfast...More

Stop and stare at the beauty and symmetry of the Basilica of Santa Croce any time day or night. Unraveling around it are a number of architectural and artistic masterpieces, from the Synagogue to the Central National Library. As a hub for young people, the area gets busy with people who want to have fun: a continuous flow of tourists and locals become animated by songs and dances.

Apologies for the delay in replying. It takes about 20-25 mins from the airport in a taxi. We arrived by train from Venice and it was only a 10 minute ride from the train station. When flying home, it couldn't have been easier - there is a button you press in the hotel and a taxi turned up 10 minutes later. I think it was about €25 with a tip.
I would thoroughly recommend this place.
