What a great hotel this is. Get a room with a view and you are looking right at the famous Duomo. Also, just a short walk to the best museums and points of interest. Big, comfortable rooms at a very fair price. Some rooms may be a little noisy due to the proximity to the cathedral, but the view makes...

We had such a great time in Florence as the hotel location is not far from the tourist spots. The reception area is on the second floor with Duomo view. I really love their hot chocolate serving during breakfast. Hotel staff were helpful.

Very outdated lift is your first impression leading up to a nicely decorated reception area. Upon arriving the receptionist was on the phone and continued to talk for around 5 min without any acknowledgement of my presence. There were no friendly greetings or smiles. She was rude, aggressive, overly officious and condescending and I ended up in tears ( re...

Clearly a hotel that offers a room with a view - a spectacular one at that. Our window looked out over the Duomo... was utterly stunning. Elegant and commodious. Hotel staff were very helpful. We arrived by car and they helped us with a garage. Everything in room was clean. And quite elegant. Obviously the hotel is extraordinarily well positioned......

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
