I was hoping that our room really did have a view as advertised and I was not disappointed. It was even better! Waking up in the morning and being able to see the Duomo large as life out of the window without lifting head off pillow was magical. It is right in the heart of historic Florence with all the...

Great location and helpful staff. The breakfast was awesome! We chose a room with a Duomo view which meant it was louder at night but we used a sound machine app to block it out. The room was pretty bare but the bed was comfortable.

If you are looking for a hotel in the heart of the pedestrian area of historic Florence, this hotel is a good choice. You will be able to sightsee and return to the hotel easily for a break. There are always Italian cookies, American style coffee and the makings for tea available as well as a water dispenser for both...

This hotel was good and located in a great location. I know that hotels over there are much smaller than what you'd expect to stay in in the USA, but the shower was so small it was almost impossible to turn around in. Also, we asked the front desk for local restaurants to get authentic Italian food that was not...

Dear Kristen B, Thank you again for staying with us and for the review. We are glad that you appreciated the hotel's comfortable position. We are aware of some minor size issues with a couple of our bathrooms and because of the particular architectural landscape and impossibility to deeply intervene in a protected historical palace, we are continously studying the...

This is by far the best location in Florence. The staff is great! And the breakfast is awesome, that pancake machine is amazing. We would stay here again. The AC was still off for the hotel but we still enjoyed our honeymoon here. Yeah thanks!

We had the best possible room (#40) with tremendous views of the Duomo, a comfortable bed, desk, and table and chairs - along with a huge bathroom that had its own view of the plaza below. Sounds from the plaza always present - street musicians, groups of people of various ages talking, shouting, singing, protest groups - all that one...

They say location, location location is the three rules of real estate and that is certainly the case with Hotel Duomo it is actually right outside the window as pictured. Dear Trevlyn G, Thank you again for staying with us and for your review. We take every input from our guests as an opportunity to offer a better service. Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
