Travelled through Italy, and I loved this hotel in Florence. It was in an excellent location in the heart of Florence. The room was a good size, the breakfast was excellent (finally some good tasting coffee!) and the room was very clean. This is a hidden gem, thank you Hotel Perseo.

Very helpful, friendly and efficient staff. Great central location near station and easy walking to major sights and shops. Good quiet room, comfortable bed, hot shower, good breakfast. This is a great small hotel and staff are excellent.

We loved this hotel because of its central location; minutes from both the station and the Duomo. The staff were welcoming, friendly and very helpful. The room was quite small but benefitted from a tiny balcony (without a view) but was still pleasant when the sun was out. Lovely bed, towels and bathroom. Now this is Italy so don't expect...

My husband and I planned a trip to Europe that included staying in 4 different hotels over 7 days. This particular hotel was by far the best. From comfort to service our needs were met and exceeded along the way. Embarrassingly neither one of us speak any language aside from English and we were impressed with the staff's English! The...

My wife and I really enjoyed Hotel Perseo. The staff is great, the location is perfect, and we had everything we needed. Highly recommend staying here! It's a close walk to the many sites and it's in the downtown area, yet the rooms are quiet and comfortable.

Location of the hotel is excellent. Staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the local area - gave tips and where and when to visit and offered to pre-book tickets for us. Room was basic but clean and comfortable. Was a little noisy at night but it didn't disturb us too much. We will stay here again on our...

First time to Florence in twenty years and the Hotel Perseo did not disappoint. Staff was amazing. Friendly and quick to point out different place for us to check out and visit. They even called and booked an excursion for us. Location was ideal. Four short blocks from the train station and a block from the Duomo.

My sister and I took a side trip to Florence in November. The hotel is quaint and cozy. The front desk is extremely helpful in booking sightseeing tours and even set up the morning breakfast early on the day of our tour of Tuscany. The rooms are comfortable and cozy. I will definitely return to this hotel when visiting again....

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
